Rebecca Wright, CIS, CITP, has been named interim CEO of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence. SITE
Rebecca Wright, CIS, CITP, has been selected as interim CEO of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, effective this month. She is stepping into the role following the departure of CEO Annette Gregg, who left SITE to become CEO of the World Trade Centers Association.
The appointment follows a comprehensive process led by SITE’s executive committee and approved by the SITE international board of directors.
The SITE role is not a new one for Wright; she served as Interim CEO of the association from October 2020 until November 2022, when Gregg became CEO. Prior to her first term as Interim CEO, Wright served as chapter leader and president of SITE Chicago and as SITE’s Head of Chapter Engagement.
Team support while a permanent selection is made
Upon her appointment, Wright said, “It is a privilege to return to SITE and serve this community once again as interim CEO. What has always made SITE special is its people: an exceptional team, committed board and chapter leaders, and the relationships that connect our global community. My immediate focus will be on supporting the team, listening closely to our members and chapters, and building on the momentum already established across the association. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with members and industry colleagues at IMEX America and in the months ahead.”
According to Hasan Dinç, managing director at ODS Turkey and president of SITE's international board, Wright’s previous tenure as interim CEO, combined with her deep knowledge of the association and its global community, provides valuable continuity during this transition.
“I worked with Rebecca during her first term as interim CEO, when I was president of SITE Türkiye. Through the pandemic, she kept our chapters connected to SITE, and I saw first-hand what that meant for them. She brings that same continuity now.”
Dinç added that the organization will continue its search for a permanent CEO for SITE.
