Aventri, a provider of event management software, has partnered with the live-video solutions provider Brandlive to offer TV-style video production for virtual events and for the digital component of any hybrid gatherings. The move, which follows Cvent's recent acquisition of Shoflo, is further evidence of the growing trend to elevate the video-production quality of online events.

Brandlive's Greenroom software is a streaming platform with TV-like content-creation tools. Aventri's Virtual Events 2.0 platform now streams output from Brandlive, with support from the Aventri team to ensure smooth operation. Aventri's new APIs handle RTMP streams from Greenroom, with deeper integration in the works.

“We’re elated to work with Brandlive, the emerging market leader in virtual video production,” said Kurt Chessman, vice president of corporate development and strategy at Aventri. “This partnership deepens our ability to serve customers in their ambitions to host the most engaging events in the industry.”

The latest release of Greenroom provides production-studio features, such as:

  • Showboard, a timeline-style display that allows organizers to manage the show's flow and make real-time adjustments on event day;
  • Showbuilder, a drag-and-drop tool that can be used to design the production in advance, including pre- and post-stream media, shot layouts, product notes and cues;
  • Producer and Backstage Comms, through which organizers can speak to presenters live on stage and participants can communicate during the show without their audio being heard by the audience. The technology routes audio automatically with an awareness of which participants are live and who is backstage; and
  • Presenter tools, which allow speakers to view notes and a teleprompter; drive their own slides, images, gifs or videos; share their screens; and create mixed playlists of slides and video content.

Use of the Greenroom platform and tools costs extra for Aventri customers, with pricing available on either a per-event basis or through an unlimited subscription.
