Chapter Chianti, an 82-room luxury boutique resort, has opened in Tuscany's Chianti region. The property, situated within a restored 16th-century borgo (tiny hamlet) and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, is a member of Design Hotels, Marriott’s curated collection of more than 300 independent distinctive hotels.
Conceived by architect Tristan du Plessis, the property balances contemporary design inspired by its natural surroundings with original stone staircases and vaulted ceilings, handcrafted furniture by local artisans and hand-drawn artworks by up-and-coming artists.
The resort ‘s indoor and outdoor event spaces include a dedicated meeting room that can accommodate up to 250 attendees.
Chef Daniele Auricchio, whose experience includes working in Michelin-starred kitchens across the globe, leads Chapter Chianti’s culinary offerings. Osso, the hotel's signature restaurant, features Tuscan meats, regional produce and locally sourced cheeses and ingredients gathered from the surrounding countryside. The property’s 120-bottle wine list showcases the top Tuscan and Chianti labels.
Parasole Pool Bar serves Mediterranean-inspired light bites, while the hotel's Main Bar offers cocktails and live entertainment.
In 2027, the property will welcome Hey Güey, a Mexican restaurant that will serve traditional tacos and empanadas alongside signature cocktails.
The resort's spa, F.A.R.M. Social (Forever A Relaxed Mood), blends holistic relaxation with high-performance facilities. The 5,400 square-foot space includes a Turkish steam bath, sauna, dry hammam and state-of-the-art Panatta fitness center, alongside an outdoor padel court. The indoor pool circuit draws inspiration from ancient Roman bathhouses and includes five pools (warm, two cold plunges, hydrotherapy and saltwater), complemented by three treatment rooms.
Activities include horseback riding through vineyards, truffle hunting, olive oil harvesting, hot air balloon excursions over the Chianti hills, falconry and hands-on cooking classes with Chef Auricchio.
