Orlando again tops the list of Cvent's top U.S. meetngs destinations
Meetings-technology giant Cvent has released its annual list of top meetings destinations based on booking activity through the company's venue-sourcing sites. More than $16 billion in business worldwide was sourced in 2018 through the Cvent Supplier Network -- plus, this year's lists also included data from other platforms Cvent has acquired, including Lanyon and SpeedRFP.
All told, Cvent evaluated more than 11,000 cities across the globe for its eighth annual set of lists, based on activity for the 2018 calendar year. Rankings were based on:
• Unique requests for proposal received
• Total room nights received
• Awarded requests for proposal
• Awarded room nights
• Percentage of qualified meeting venues
• Number of profile views
Thanks to increased global volume, Cvent upped its total number of lists to nine this year. Without further ado, the winners are:
