More than 400 incentive travel professionals gathered in Dublin this week for the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence 2022 Global Conference, the first to be held in-person since January 2020, when the group gathered in Vancouver, Canada.

Building on the success of the 2022 conference, SITE announced that New York City will be the host location for next year's in-person gathering. The 2023 Global Conference will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the organization, which was founded in 1973 to advance the business case for incentive travel and provide networking and educational opportunities for industry professionals.

"SITE returns to North America for 2023, with a city that is always on, and has a proven track record of resiliency and a unique ability to meet the moment time and time again," said Kevin Edmunds, vice president of meeting and incentive sales for the AIC Hotel Group and president of SITE. "We look forward to working with our destination partners to create a truly memorable Global Conference celebration for next year."

The 2023 Global Conference will be held in New York City the week of February 13. Registration is expected to open in late 2022.

"We are thrilled to welcome the SITE Global Conference back to New York City next year," said Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, the official convention and visitor's bureau representing New York City. "We share a long history, having hosted the first-ever meeting of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives in NYC almost 50 years ago."
