Beth Surmont is an influential designer shaping the next era of events. Currently vice president of event strategy and design for 360 Live Media, her career spans more than 20 years in corporate and nonprofit events and trade shows. A recognized thought leader, Surmont frequently speaks at industry conferences and other events. She won the PCMA Groundbreaker Award in 2024 and has been named by Northstar Meetings Group as one of the Top 25 Influencers in the Meetings Industry, among other accolades. She has been a certified meeting planner since 2008 and a certified association executive since 2016. She holds a B.A. from Denison University in storytelling and is certified in appreciative inquiry methodology. Surmont is a founding board member of SocialOffset, a nonprofit that encourages local donations instead of destination boycotts. She lives in New Jersey with her wife, cat and dog.
