Pacific World, the global destination and event management firm, will cease operations in November due to the disruptions Covid-19 has had on the travel and tourism industry. The firm has 20 locations around the world and serves more than 100 destinations. Parent company TUI Destination Experiences, a division of travel giant TUI Group, has elected to exit the meetings and incentives market.
"Pacific World has been dedicated to delivering more than 40,000 exceptional event experiences in the past 10 years, in over 100 destinations around the world," the company said in a statement. "What made Pacific World great was its people. The creativity, professionalism and inclusive culture of our team brought the customer experience to the next level. These talented teams are not only savvy event strategists; their skills make them incredible business entrepreneurs. We believe the industry will recover in the future, and our passion and legacy of innovation will create future solutions for our customers."
Pacific World nabbed a 2019 Gold Stella Award in the category of Best International DMC.
