Designers are moving forward with a 541-room, $350 million Hilton hotel to be built near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. The 14-story property, a partnership between developers Majestic Reality and Portman Architects, will feature an all-glass design with 50,000 square feet of meeting space, office space, a full-service restaurant and a 1,150-space parking deck.
"The hotel will provide guests with a seamless and dramatic entry from wherever they're arriving from across the globe," said Stan Conway, executive vice president, Majestic Realty, in a press release. The property will link with the airport’s domestic terminal via sky bridge and will "exceed industry standards for quietness," according to the release.
Design firm Wimberly Interiors is tasked with designing the guest rooms, while the lobby and restaurant space will be outfitted by New York-based firm Tihany Design.
Construction on the hotel will begin later this year and is expected to be complete by 2022.
