Destinations International Commits to Dates for In-Person Meetings in 2022

Three of the CVB organization's meetings, including the annual convention, will be held in Canada.

Destinations International's 2022 annual conference will take place July 19-21 in Toronto.

Destinations International, the organization that represents convention and visitor bureaus, has announced its 2022 event schedule; all are planned to be in-person meetings. Three of the events, including the annual conference, will be held in Canada.

“Every year our association offers educational opportunities for destination organization professionals around the world with an annual convention and discipline-focused summits,” said DI president and CEO Don Welsh. “Never has the in-person experience been more important as we evolve with the pandemic. We know nothing can replace face-to-face meetings and we are looking forward to getting our industry back together with these in-person educational and networking opportunities.”

Following is the 2022 Destinations International calendar of events:

  • CDME courses, February 26 – March 1, 2022 in Dallas
  • Convention Sales and Services Summit, March 23 at National Harbor, Md.
  • Destination Showcase, March 25 at National Harbor, Md.
  • CEO Summit, April 3-5 in Palm Springs, Calif.
  • Marketing and Communications Summit, April 24-26 in Seattle
  • CDME courses, May 3-6 in Calgary
  • CDME courses, July 16-19 in Toronto
  • Annual convention, July 19-21 in Toronto
  • CDME courses, October 23-26 in Bloomington, Minn.
  • Advocacy Summit, October 26-28 in Bloomington, Minn.
