Connection Continues at GIS Digital 2020
The incentive industry's unity continues, as well, Nov. 4-5, 2020, at Northstar Meetings Group's
Global Incentive Summit. The digital event will bring together the most qualified incentive travel buyers with top hotels/resorts, DMOs and more from around the world. Learn more and apply to attend
GIS digital 2020 here.
The Incentive Research Foundation will hold a
new educational event, the UNvitational: An IRF Virtual Experience,
on Dec. 1 and 2, 2020. The program is being held in place of the 27th Annual
IRF Education Invitational, which was scheduled to take place December 1-4,
2020, at the Hyatt Zilara & Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, in the Dominican Republic.
The UNvitational’s education program will be
open to the entire incentive industry — as opposed to the in-person invitational, which was restricted
to IRF members. Among the topics that will be covered during the two
half-day sessions are using incentives to accelerate recovery; delivering
incentives virtually; legal considerations; and the preliminary findings from The
Incentive Travel Industry Index.
The event will also include a series of small
group activities for qualified incentive buyers. Attendees will participate in virtual
team-building activities, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities. Registration
information and updates will be posted on the UNvitational website.
"After a
challenging year for the incentives industry, the IRF looks forward to bringing
this community together to reconnect, learn and have some fun in a virtual
setting," said Stephanie Harris, IRF president and one of Northstar Meeting
Group’s Top 25 Influencers of the Meetings Industry. "The UNvitational will give us opportunities to
approach education and engagement in fresh and exciting ways."
The IRF will resume its signature event, the
Education Invitational, on June 2-5, 2021, at Florida's JW Marriott Marco Island
Beach Resort.
