Northstar's Fun Fall Events for Meeting Professionals

The hosted-buyer gatherings are designed for meeting and incentive professionals placing events in the United States, Europe and Latin America.

The year might be winding down, but Northstar's end-of-year meetings are winding up. This season, hosted-buyer events will be held all across the globe, from the beaches of Mexico to the cobblestoned streets of Budapest. Register now, or view Northstar's full events calendar.

Small & Boutique Meetings – Knoxville

The first of two Small & Boutique Meetings gatherings will take place in Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 12-14 at the Marriott Downtown Knoxville. Michael Dominguez, president and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels International, will lead an education session on "Making Sense of Conflicting Data in Times of Rapid Change." On the last day, NASCAR driver and entrepreneur Jennifer Jo Cobb will hit the gas with a keynote on "Lessons From the Fast Lane on Motivation, Resilience and Achieving the 'Impossible.'"

Global Incentive Summit

The global hosted-buyer event for the incentive travel industry heads to Hungary's Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest Oct. 19-22. A general session will be held in the city's iconic Parliament building, where journalist, editor and film expert Viktor Dudás will speak about the movie industry's vital role in the country's economy, and wilil share clips from blockbusters that were filmed in Budapest. Planners have the opportunity to attend post-fams in Ireland, Scotland, Prague, Vienna, Monaco or Hungary.

Small & Boutique Meetings – Park City

Designed for planners sourcing programs with 100 room nights or fewer on peak, the second Small & Boutique Meetings event of the season is happening Oct. 26-28 at the Pendry Park City in Utah. Two education sessions will be led by Anthony Vade, cofounder of Strategy Table, on "Reimagining Small and Boutique Events With Experience Design," and by Olympian Shannon Bahrke Happe on "Adding Mindfulness to Your Workplace." During their free time, attendees can choose between such activities as a mines-and-wines tour, a photo scavenger hunt, or a tour of Utah Olympic Park.

Destination Southwest

Two properties in College Station, Texas, will host Destination Southwest Dec. 1-3: the George Hotel and the Cavalry Court Hotel. Over the course of three days, buyers will meet with hotels, CVBs, DMCs and venues from across the region, including Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. The agenda also entails a lunch at the Hilton College Station, a dinner reception at the Texas A&M Hotel and afternoon activities that showcase the city.

Leadership Forum

The exclusive senior-level summit for decision–makers in the meetings, sports and hospitality industries, Leadership Forum will take place Dec. 7-10 at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, which recently completed a propertywide renovation. Attendees will participate in a strategic review and outlook for the meetings industry, a dinner on the beach, and wellness such activities as golfing, a guided bike tour and spa appointments. There also will be an optional session for female executives on the third day called "Women in Leadership: Power and Perspective."

Destination Mexico & Latin America

Destination Mexico & Latin America, the final hosted-buyer event of the year, is being held Dec. 9-12 at the Westin Resort and Spa, Puerto Vallarta. The destination-specific event is designed for meetings and incentive buyers from North America, as well as hotels and resorts, cruise lines, and tourism offices throughout Latin America. The itinerary includes two education sessions, networking receptions and free time to explore the beachside destination on Mexico's West Coast.
