Robert Holzweiss made his way to College Station, Texas, in 1990 to pursue a master’s degree and then a doctorate in American history from Texas A&M University — and he hasn’t left since. He went on to work at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum’s archives and is now the deputy director in addition to his role as lecturer at his alma mater. He met his wife in College Station and they now reside in Bryan, Texas, where they raised their two sons. In choosing College Station, Holzweiss found a career, a community and a family.
