The meetings-tech giant Cvent has released its annual Top Meeting Destinations and Top Meeting Hotels lists. These lists are based on analysis of the more than $18 billion in global sourcing and electronic request-for-proposal activity realized through the company's sourcing platforms in 2024. A record $16.5 billion of business came through the Cvent Supplier Network last year, the hotel- and venue-sourcing platform that is a core part of Cvent's technology.
The company has issued each of these new lists for five global regions: North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and for the first time, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Cvent also debuted a new list this year, Top Venues and Vendors, which culls data from the Cvent Vendor Marketplace.
Despite economic uncertainties, last year's record sourcing pace could continue. According to the most recent Northstar Meetings Group/Cvent Meetings Industry PULSE Survey, more than two-thirds of planners are actively booking or sourcing new events while 63 percent say meetings are seen as more valuable than they were prior to the pandemic. While the survey queries planners about sourcing and booking in general — beyond the Cvent platform — both of those figures are consistent with last year's pace.
Cvent Top Meeting Destinations, North America
There are some familiar cities atop the North America list this year, with Orlando once again claiming the top spot, followed by Las Vegas. Chicago rose three spots from 2024 to claim the number-three spot, Atlanta moved up two spots to number five, and Washington, D.C., shot up 10 places to the number-eight slot.
Among the criteria used to determine the rankings: the number of total room nights booked through the Cvent Supplier Network, the number of unique RFPs sent to venues within the city, the total value of the RFPs submitted and the value of meetings booked.

The music capitals came up big in 2024. Remarkably, the top four hotels on this list are in Nashville, with the following two claimed by properties in Austin, Texas.
Rankings were based in part on total RFPs, awarded RFPs, total room nights, awarded room nights, major metropolitan-area market share, conversion rate and response rate.
