A new roundup from the charter-bus professionals at Gogo Charters sifted through their database to list its top-10 group destinations for 2018 across the U.S.

Top 10 Destinations for Bus Charters in 2018

10. NRG Stadium - Houston, Texas

They say everything is bigger in Texas, but nothing is quite as grand as Texas football. This turf dishes out some Houston Texans home-field magic during the NFL season, and a host of popular events the rest of the year.

NRG Stadium, an arena seating 72,220, is part of a larger outpost dubbed NRG Park. Aside from its various outdoor spaces, the park also features the NRG Center with 706,213 square feet of meeting space, NRG Arena with 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and the famous NRG Astrodome, which is being reconfigured into a 21st-century convention venue.

9. Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles, Calif.

Seating 56,000 guests at one time, Dodgers Stadium is home of the L.A. Dodgers. According to Gogo, games were just one of the many reasons trips were booked to Dodgers Stadium throughout the year. As opposed to wasting-away in the infamous L.A. traffic, many local companies opted to hop aboard a private shuttle with their companies to travel to their anticipated main events.

8. AT&T Stadium - Arlington, Texas

Home to "America's Team," AT&T Stadium serves as the home field for the Dallas Cowboys. At capacity, this mecca of an arena comfortably seats 100,000 and hosts a numerous activities outside of football, including both group educational and art tours.

Off the field, in-arena group event venues include the 2,400-square-foot Cowboys locker room (holding up to 150), the 24,500-square-foot end-zone platforms (which welcome up to 2,500 people) and 8,700-square-foot silver lounges (with a capacity of 500), among other group offerings

7. Colorado Convention Center - Denver, Colo.

A destination already familiar to many meeting planners, the Colorado Convention Center features a total of 579,000 square feet of meeting space, 62 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 2,700 booths in its exhibit space. Throughout the year, this Rocky Mountain hot spot plays host to more than 400 conferences, trade shows, expos, galas, get-togethers, shindigs, you name it.

Gogo reports that its peak number of trips to the facility came in late May, throughout October and late in December of 2018.

6. Disneyland - Anaheim, Calif.

With the Disney properties reigning as some of the most visited in the world, it comes as no surprise that this West Coast destination appears on the list. And with the most recent addition of the Starwars: Galaxy's Edge attraction, the bus traffic will only surge.

According to Gogo, out of all the trips booked to Disneyland in 2018, nearly half were taken between the last week of May and late July. And while many originated from locations throughout Southern California — within a two hour drive of Anaheim — nearly a third of the groups trekked anywhere between four and eight hours to Disneyland.

5. Hollywood Walk of Fame - Los Angeles

From personalized sight-seeing tours to glamorous group excursions, the Hollywood Walk of Fame welcomes guests from near and far.

Visitors can gather for a group selfie in front of the big globe at Universal Studios Hollywood, retrace the imprinted steps of countless artists outside the TCL Chinese Theater and take a stroll along the Santa Monica Beach and its iconic pier. Gogo helped a number of groups throughout last year accomplish all of these excursions and more.

4. U.S. Capitol Building - Washington, D.C.

The U.S. Capitol is a monument, a working office and one of the most recognizable symbols of representative democracy in the world making it an ideal destination for groups with an educational, corporate or leisure missio

3. Times Square - New York City

New York City roared into the New Year with record-breaking travel and tourism numbers for 2018, so it's no surprise that this massive melting pot has landed a spot on Gogo's list. A record 37.7 million hotel room nights were sold citywide last year, generating $623 million in estimated hotel occupancy tax revenues.

2. Austin Convention Center - Austin, Texas

With 247,052 total square feet of exhibit space, 54 meeting rooms and accommodations for nearly 1,300 exhibit booths, the Austin Convention Center is a true anchor in the artsy and eclectic city.

1. Georgia World Congress Center - Atlanta

Atlanta's GWCC is made up of 1,362,750 square feet of total meeting space, with 681 meeting rooms; the largest exhibit space measures 151,000 square feet. How did the facility grab the top spot over attractions like Disneyland and the U.S. Capitol? According to Gogo, the company carried its largest number of people in 2018 to and from the world tour of Aga Khan IV’s Diamond Jubilee — commemorating his 60 years as Imam and spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslims. With more than 95 shuttle services scheduled between March 13 and 17, 2018, Gogo made transportation the least of the group's worries and helped all attendees reach out to not only their religious leader, but also the rest of the Islamaili community.
