United Airlines Unveils New and Improved Meetings Portal

The airline's meetings portal helps planners streamline travel and rewards programs.

United Airlines has launched a new meetings portal that will make it easier for planners to book discounted travel for their attendees, among other features.

The airline's event technology is available to planner through its business portal, "United Jetstream."

Chief among the features is "discount in a day," which allows planners to register a meeting and receive discount details within 24 hours. Once a planner accepts the discount, they will be given a code to distribute to attendees. Aside from meetings-travel rates, travelers under the code will receive United's Corporate Preferred benefits.

"This new Meetings portal on Jetstream allows us to connect people and unite the world by making it easier to bring people together for meetings, events, conferences and more," said United senior vice president of worldwide sales Jake Cefolia. "We're listening to our customers and making changes that they ask for."

If a promo code user's company already has a corporate agreement with the airline, United will connect that information to include the additional discount. The airline will also take on capturing all corporate bookings in the date range and with city matches to credit to the meeting account for reward purposes, without requesting any additional information from the meeting organizer. A dashboard helps planners track everything from ticket purchasing and flights flown to amenities funds and more.

United Meetings is available for meetings large and small. For more information, click here
