One look at the IMEX America show floor and it’s clear that this is where the meetings and events industry comes to meet. Last year, IMEX America attracted 3,443 exhibiting companies from more than 150 countries. And this year, new destinations and venues are present, while many longtime exhibitors have increased their presence.

IMEX America Resource Hub
Northstar Meetings Group’s IMEX America Resource Hub provides event professionals with all they need to know about the premier gathering for the meetings and event industry.

Detroit, the Dominican Republic, Philadelphia, Miami and Vancouver are among the destinations expanding their footprint at the show this year. China, Guatemala and Saint Lucia are some of the new names to look out for. In addition, representation from the incentive sector has increased dramatically.

Here are a few examples of how this year’s exhibitors and partners are preparing for another successful IMEX America.

MGM Resorts International

• Measuring an impressive 40’ x 60’, the MGM Resorts booth has increased from previous years to allow for more one-on-one appointments as well as unique networking experiences and activations.
• This year, MGM Resorts International is highlighting the importance of wellness, allowing hosted buyers a moment to refresh and recharge. The setup includes a “Zen den” with features including noise cancellation headphones and meditative sounds, a sign of how the company uses sensory adjustment to create an inclusive and safe environment for guests.
• The company is emphasizing the fact that IMEX America’s Talking Point theme this year, Impact, is closely related to MGM Resorts International’s own values and platform, Focused on What Matters: Embracing Humanity and Protecting the Planet. That platform focuses on giving back to the community, health and well-being and sustainability practices.

“At MGM Resorts, we take immense pride in hosting IMEX America and are thrilled to welcome guests to the newly remodeled Mandalay Bay Convention Center for this year’s events,” said Stephanie Glanzer, chief sales officer and senior vice president for MGM Resorts International. “As the largest trade show for the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry, IMEX aligns with our passion for the MICE industry and its educational opportunities. This year, we're particularly excited about IMEX's focus on Impact, bringing the global events community together to tackle major challenges facing our planet and communities—a key initiative for us here at MGM Resorts. We look forward to welcoming all attendees this October at our booth to showcase how we place these values into action.”

Hilton

Hilton has three booths this year: Hilton (3,600 square feet), Hilton Luxury Brands (1,500 square feet—300 square feet larger than last year), and HWS dedicated space (a new, 500-square-foot booth).
• Hilton has 500 global Hosted Buyers participating in the show this year, and the company has historically been the largest sponsor of Hosted Buyers at IMEX. Additionally, Hilton Special Events will manage 10 formal events.

“Meeting professionals know to block off their calendars in the fall for IMEX America,” said Kim Napolitano, executive director of industry relations and intermediary group sales, Hilton Worldwide Sales at Hilton. “It is the largest gathering of meeting professionals in the United States and supports incredible partnerships and billions of dollars in revenue for our hotel participants. IMEX has an incredible partnership with Hilton and continuously works to make the show innovative and exciting.”

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA)

• At 3,000 square feet, the LVCVA booth is larger this year than in 2023.
• The organization is partnering with a local corporate wellness business, Pneuma Lab, for a wellness activation in the LVCVA booth called the Creative Harmony Sanctuary. In this space, attendees can don headphones to listen to soothing music and relax between appointments; they can also enjoy a Vegas-style coloring mural.
• The LVCVA booth features 30 destination partners, from hotels to special venues to service providers, with resources for sourcing, planning and executing meetings.
• As in previous years, the booth will continue its popular champagne hour, with surprise Las Vegas entertainment performances on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
 • The LVCVA is working directly with the IMEX team to produce content for sessions happening on the show floor, and the organization will partner with the MPI Foundation for their TopGolf Networking event on Monday afternoon and Rendezvous at Drai’s on Wednesday evening. The LVCVA will also support SITE NITE on Monday evening, which takes place at TopGolf Las Vegas.

“It’s well known that meetings and events have a significant impact on Las Vegas,” said Rebecca DeLuca, the LVCVA’s vice president of destination sales. “The annual opportunity IMEX America brings to connect with leaders, changemakers and passionate professionals throughout the industry lays the groundwork for our continued success as the No. 1 destination for meetings and events. It is a privilege to welcome this marquee event to Vegas year after year, and it truly allows us to shine a spotlight on our capabilities as a premier destination for hosting events by offering attendees the chance to experience the city’s one-of-kind offerings and world-renowned hospitality firsthand.”

TRACE by isla

TRACE by isla is committed to educating and engaging the business events sector on the critical issue of carbon measurement, so that event owners can take charge of their reduction strategies. Through its collaboration with IMEX, the company provides valuable content and experiences that highlight the importance of sustainability in the events industry. This includes the creation of an Event Carbon Measurement Starter Pack that serves as a foundational resource for IMEX attendees under a co-branded campaign called It Starts with Data. This initiative emphasizes the goal shared by TRACE by isla and IMEX: to educate the industry on carbon and what can be done about it.
• TRACE by isla is also exhibiting, hosting a carbon measurement roundtable and offering educational sessions throughout the event. Attendees can chat with TRACE by isla representatives about their own carbon measurement journey and learn more about how the TRACE by isla platform can help. The company’s educational sessions and roundtable discussions will provide in-depth insights and hands-on advice, helping event professionals to adopt and refine their sustainability practices.
“IMEX America is a crucial event for TRACE by isla, as it provides an unmatched platform to connect with industry leaders and drive forward our mission of accelerating the event industry's transition to a sustainable future,” said Anna Abdelnoor, CEO and founder of isla. “It’s a fantastic place to participate and share our expertise on carbon measurement, helping organizations that are just starting to think about how to measure the carbon footprint of their events, as well as event professionals who are further along in the process.”

Meeting Professionals International (MPI)

MPI’s exhibit presence this year has expanded, returning to the same footprint as 2019. The organization’s exhibit space features an extensive education area, networking section and fun activities. Attendees can visit the MPI booth for hours of education, connections with the MPI team and MPI members, a reception and other activities.
• MPI packs in four to five sessions every day during IMEX America, with a strong focus on engagement and actionable takeaways. In addition, MPI will once again have a headshot station that allows attendees to get new, professional-quality photographs. Networking is a key element, of course, and attendees will be able to connect with others during booth receptions as well as casual conversations with leadership, members and speakers throughout the event.
• MPI’s engagement at IMEX America starts with Smart Monday powered by MPI. In 2023, the event had one of its largest attendee totals ever, due in large part to its education opportunities and fun activations.
• In addition to Smart Monday, the MPI Foundation has some large-scale engagements taking place. From the invitation-only Red, White and You dinner to a silent auction to the legendary MPI Foundation Rendezvous, MPI remains focused on raising funds to give back to the industry. Last year, in fact, the Foundation raised nearly $400,000 at IMEX America, with a large portion coming from the sold-out MPI Foundation Rendezvous. With over 2,000 attendees, this event is expected to sell out again, so securing a ticket early is a must.
“With a partnership stretching back more than 20 years, IMEX and MPI are family,” said Drew S. Holmgreen, chief experience officer at MPI. “IMEX America is an incredible opportunity for our two organizations to partner and bring forward an engaging experience where participants can really get the full benefit of what MPI brings to the table—professional development that offers growth. Each year gets better and better.”
