The 57-room Eclipse at Half Moon, part of Jamaica's Half Moon resort, will open in March. Eclipse, which will be managed by Salamander Hotels & Resorts, joins two existing properties on the 400-acre resort: Founders Cove at Half Moon (a rebranding of the original resort hotel) and Rose Hall Villas at Half Moon. The addition of Eclipse is part of an extensive plan to add contemporary amenities to accompany the legendary Half Moon's classic offerings, which include a Robert Trent Jones, Sr.-designed golf course, and the Sugar Mill restaurant, rated as one of Jamaica's best dining outlets.
The new luxury property will have two restaurants; three bars; a market café; Fern Tree, a Salamander Spa; a sweeping infinity-edge swimming pool, and private beachfront with a natural swimming cove. Designed by the renowned design firm Hart Howerton, the resort embraces the rich history of the Caribbean and Jamaica's natural beauty. The enclave's Great House, inspired by the island's distinctive culture and style, will showcase local artwork.
