Barbara Brass has more than 25 years of experience in the food-and-beverage side of the hospitality industry, including overseeing Hollywood’s annual Oscars Governors Ball. Brass began her career with Marriott Hotels and Resorts in Stamford, Conn., as specialty restaurant assistant manager, and in 1996 became director of catering with Restaurant Associates at the Los Angeles Music Center, where got her first taste of awards season, overseeing logistics for the 1997 and 1998 Academy Awards Governors Ball. Brass joined Wolfgang Puck Catering when the company was launched in 1998. Today, Brass continues to be a leader in the company, creating elaborate menus and magical events for major movie premieres, awards shows, galas and more. When she is not on-site at one of her numerous events, Brass likes to spend her time tasting wine in Napa Valley, creating masterpieces in her own kitchen, visiting innovative restaurants and enjoying time with her two dogs.
