Event-technology giant Cvent has further strengthened its marketing toolset with the acquisition of Goldcast, a video-content platform developed for B2B events and webinars. The platform incorporates AI-fueled features to streamline the process of producing summaries and converting live-event moments into easy-to-share video clips.
The acquisition builds on Cvent's 2024 acquisition of Splash with an eye toward appealing to more CMOs and marketing decision-makers. It also further bolsters the company's in-house efforts to incorporate content, and content libraries, into the events ecosystem — a facet the company highlighted in its pandemic-era, 2021 hybrid Cvent Connect conference.
The Goldcast deal takes that to the next level, underscoring the importance of digital content to the marketing funnel for in-person events — and building on the hybrid-event efforts that were the backdrop to Cvent's previous video-content push.
"This acquisition reflects our strong belief in the power of AI‑driven video and the role it will play in the future of event marketing," said Cvent CEO and founder Reggie Aggarwal in a statement. "AI is transforming how content is produced, but it hasn’t changed what audiences value most: authentic moments and experiences. Events deliver that trust at scale."
Scale is what Cvent offers Goldcast as well. The company, which has grown quickly and was named to Deloitte's 2025 Technology Fast 500, now will have access to Cvent's some 30,000 customers.
"Cvent's broad customer base... gives us an incredible foundation to accelerate innovation," noted Goldcast CEO and cofounder Palash Soni. "As marketers face a video-first future, we’re building tools that turn every event into a content engine, so brands can amplify their reach and personalize at scale."
