Independent planners are a diverse group of event professionals and the way in which they approach their business can vary widely. As part of Northstar Meetings Group's efforts to foster the independent planner community, we've conducted the 2026 Independent Planner Pricing Survey. Here you'll find practices, pricing strategies, earnings and more, as reported by more than 370 independent planning professionals between Dec. 1, 2025 and Jan. 14, 2026. Respondents consisted of independent planners who are not employed by third-party companies, such as Maritz, HelmsBriscoe and ConferenceDirect.
