Following American Express Global Business Travel's recent acquisition by Long Lake Management in a $6.3 billion deal, the travel management platform continues to transform its executive suite. Dan Beauchamp has been named vice president of global strategic meetings for Amex GBT, which is now a privately held company.

Beauchamp's promotion during the company's transition adds continuity for clients, as Long Lake works to deploy AI in the background across the Amex GBT platform. According Business Travel News, Northstar's sister publication, Long Lake's Nexus — a self-learning, horizontal AI platform that maps workflows and cleans up data for integration — will be used to streamline workflows for Amex GBT.

Based in the United Kingdom, Beachamp is charged with focusing on customer experience, program performance and client results. He will oversee new business growth, including the expansion of the business’s global footprint, and will work with customers to increase program adoption, optimize spend, improve attendee experiences and increase return on investment.

Extending his Amex GBT tenure

Now an eight-year veteran of the company, Beauchamp previously led the global consulting and venue-sourcing teams, partnering with customers to optimize their travel and meetings programs. Before that, he held senior sales and customer-facing roles at American Express and the Hogg Robinson Group.
