American Express Meetings & Events has launched a new technology platform tailored to small or simple meetings. Dubbed Meetings Express, it combines Amex service and data collection with third-party technology providers that differ according to region. The Amex interface connects clients with the tech providers, each a regional specialist: Groupize in North America, MeetingsBooker.com in the United Kingdom and Nordic countries, Bizmeeting in France, Meetago in Germany and iVvy in Australia.
The approach acknowledges the challenges inherent in applying a one-size-fits-all approach to a global marketplace, while allowing Amex M&E to work as a liaison to provide consistent service and integration. Amex vetted the providers to ensure each combined the right hotels, venues and meeting spaces for their clients. Meetings Express ties in to the company's centralized data platform, Meetings Insights, and also integrates with its reporting and management tools.
"Client demand for service in the small, simple meetings segment is significant," noted Issa Jouaneh, Amex M&E senior vice president and general manager, "yet until now, no one has addressed it globally. Meetings Express helps meeting owners achieve their goals with consistent global service and relevant local content."
The Amex M&E team will work with clients to ensure they align their small and simple meetings strategies with their existing programs and policies.
Meetings Express is now live. There is an approximate one-month implementation period, which can vary depending on the complexity of the program.
