Preferred Hotel Group, which represents more than 1,100 properties around the globe, has launched Beyond Green, a new brand that spotlights sustainable hotels, resorts and lodges. The 27 properties that comprise the portfolio all exemplify "sustainability in action," according to Preferred, and give back to the environment in positive, consistent and impactful ways.

The parent company, which manages and operates Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Historic Hotels of America, and Historic Hotels Worldwide, has spotlighted these green properties to appeal to planners, agents and travelers looking for venues that align with sustainable-travel values — primarily protecting nature, benefiting local communities and celebrating cultural diversity.

“Today’s travelers are craving connectedness and renewal, and with this comes a new and profound sense of responsibility for taking care of personal and planetary health and well-being,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Beyond Green and its parent company, Preferred Hotel Group.

Among the portfolio's premiere collection are 11 properties in the Americas, including Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley, Calif., and Bentwood Inn in Jackson Hole, Wyo.; three in Europe, such as Borgo Pignano in Tuscany, Italy; 10 in Africa, including andBeyond Bateleur Camp in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve; and three in Asia, such as InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa in French Polynesia.

On-property enrichment experiences and activities are available across the portfolio, and most of the hotels participate in the I Prefer member loyalty program.
