With the completion of a three-phase, $22 million renovation project in June, the Marriott Stanton South Beach has added the amenities necessary to receive resort status from Marriott International.
The latest phase of the renovation included the addition of a 1,500-square-foot, full-service spa, a fitness and training center, and a new Japanese restaurant, Azabu Miami Beach — an outpost of the Michelin-starred New York restaurant — as well as the reopening of its Starbucks.
The renovation project began in 2013 with the renovation of all rooms and continued in 2017 with the renovation of the property's common areas, as well as the opening of a Mexican restaurant, Lolo's Surf Cantina.
Located in the SoFi district, the property sits between Ocean Drive and the beach, next door to Marjory Stoneman Douglas Park. The Stanton South Beach is a laid-back luxury property with 224 rooms and a midcentury modern design with Art Deco elements matching the South beach aesthetic. It offers three event spaces with a total of 2,838 square feet.
"Stanton's beachfront location and coveted South of Fifth address have always set us apart, and we are proud to now have the resort amenities and innovative dining to further enhance the experience and attract new types of hip, trendsetting travelers," says Mike Manzari, general manager of the Marriott Stanton South Beach. "We can't wait to greet new faces while welcoming back our loyal visitors who will enjoy the new and improved Stanton alongside the same friendly, down-to-earth staff and personalized service that we have always been known to provide."
The property has two pools and offers beach cabanas and lounge chairs.
