The "T&T" Time & Temperature Innovation Kitchen has reopened at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa after being shuttered for an extended period. The dining venue, available only for private events of up to 50 people, offers an ever-changing five-course tasting menu.
The resort's executive chef Eric Theiss helms the venue and takes the lead on designing the menus — each of which is based on requests from the private groups renting the venue and driven by the availability of local, seasonal ingredients, including herbs from the restaurant's on-site garden.
The dining experiences at the venue are hosted by one of the resort's chefs, who offer commentary and explanation on each course, along with carefully selected wine pairings. The 630-square-foot restaurant also offers a large adjoining outside patio for groups who want to add an al fresco element to the evening.
The 884-room JW Marriott Desert Springs has 235,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space in total, including the recently renovated Sinatra Ballroom — which at 25,000 square feet is the largest ballroom in the area, capable of accommodating as many as 3,000 attendees. The expansive grounds include two 18-hole golf courses and an 18-hole putting course, a tennis club, three swimming pools, and a full spa. T&T is one of nine food-and-beverage outlets on-site. The resort is a short drive from both downtown Palm Springs and Indian Wells, Calif.
