Viceroy Park Avenue in New York City
Viceroy Hotels & Residences has announced a December 2026 opening for the Viceroy Park Avenue in New York City.
The 252-room hotel will occupy the former Royalton Park Avenue hotel, which closed earlier this month, in Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood. The new property marks the hospitality firm’s return to New York City; it previously operated the Viceroy New York, which was reflagged as Le Méridien New York, Central Park, in 2019. The hotel will offer 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Designed by Meyer Davis Studio, Viceroy Park Avenue’s accommodations will include four presidential suites: three 18th-floor specialty penthouse suites ranging from 755 square feet up to 2,100 square feet, and a one-of-a-kind duplex suite with 2,000 square feet of living and entertaining space. Guest rooms will feature warm wood tones, textured stone, layered lighting, and custom furnishings.
Viceroy Park Avenue’s restaurant and bar is being developed in partnership with Tao Group Hospitality. The hotel will feature a signature ground-floor restaurant and café, and a penthouse-level rooftop with an outdoor pool, a pool bar, a cocktail lounge and social spaces featuring views of the Manhattan skyline.
Amenities will include a 2,100-square-foot Wellness Penthouse with a private infrared sauna, a cold plunge, fitness equipment, recovery technology, an indoor fireplace and an outdoor terrace. A spa and a fitness center also are on site.
The New York property joins a growing portfolio that includes The Observatory Sun Valley, A Viceroy Resort, opening in the fall in Sun Valley, Idaho. Projects also are in the works in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Nashville; Austin, Texas; Ft. Lauderdale and Clearwater Beach, Fla.; Puerto Rico; and New York State’s Hudson Valley. The brand’s recent growth includes the opening of Viceroy at Ombria Algarve in Portugal, as well as a partnership on three safari lodges in Botswana and Zambia with African Bush Camps.
