In just over a week, two large, third-party incentive and event firms — One10 and Bishop-McCann — have acquired companies.

One10 takes on Whistle

Last week, One10 announced its acquisition of Whistle, an employee-engagement and rewards-technology firm.

“This is a powerful moment for One10,” said Bob Miller, president and CEO of One10. “The Whistle team brings cutting-edge talent and a platform rooted in data science, which aligns perfectly with our mission to drive results for our clients by improving the performance of their employees and channels.”

Whistle cofounder Drew Carter will join One10 as president of performance solutions, overseeing the company’s incentive, recognition and marketing-services areas. His fellow cofounder, Chris Dornfeld, will become One10’s executive vice president of product strategy, leading the continued development of Whistle’s technology and the next generation of One10’s incentive platform.

“By joining forces with One10, we’re combining Whistle’s agile technology with One10’s proven expertise and scale, delivering clients even more powerful ways to drive performance,” said Carter. “This partnership expands what’s possible — making it easier and faster for companies to engage employees and channel partners in meaningful, measurable ways.”

Bishop-McCann buys MTI Events

Yesterday, meetings, incentives and events firm Bishop-McCann revealed it has acquired incentive-travel firm MTI Events. In a statement, Bishop-McCann’s CEO and partner Rob Adams said, “This is more than a business move; it’s a values match; we’ve long admired MTI Events for its people-first philosophy, deep incentive expertise, and ability to deliver memorable, joyful experiences. Bringing MTI into the Bishop-McCann team allows us to serve our clients with even greater creativity, scale, and strategic insight.”

Melissa DeLeon, president of MTI Events, added, “Thanks to our incredible team and loyal clients, it has been an unforgettable journey, and we’re just getting started. This milestone is a celebration of everything we've built and a bold step into an exciting new chapter. Joining forces with Bishop-McCann gives us the opportunity to elevate our work even further, combining our expertise with theirs to deliver world-class incentive programs that truly inspire.” DeLeon now will serve as Bishop-McCann’s strategic advisor of incentive travel, while Adams will continue in his current role.
