Alan Kleinfeld draws on his diverse range of experience to provide an insightful, practical and unique perspective on matters of event management and safety. For 25 years he has worked in association administration, conference management, education and public safety. He is both an experienced planner and a retired state constable for South Carolina Law Enforcement, where he worked on special events, emergency operations and sensitivity training, among many other duties. He is a seasoned speaker, writer and educator who has collaborated with many industry organizations, including as a board member for the LGBT Meeting Professionals Association and as past chair of MPI's Security and Risk Management Task Force.
