Education: "Developing a Health Security Plan for Live Events" by Jonathan Spero, CEO of InHouse Physicians

More Detail

Ensuring attendees can take part in an in-person event without risking their safety requires a clear Health Security Plan. In this session, a medical expert walks planners through the steps of developing a comprehensive plan, from addressing attendee concerns before the gathering to putting strict hygiene measures into practice at the gathering itself to responding to a health incident should one occur on site.

Planner Panel: “Case Studies of Successful In-Person Events”
More Detail

With Amy Cowan, American Hereford Association - Director of Youth Activities and Foundation; Jamie Nieman, Events Coordinator - Eurofins North American Food Division; and Diane Miller, Deputy Director - Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center

As events have slowly begun to resume, meeting planners have found themselves having to navigate a whole new set of rules and expectations in order to ensure attendees feel safe and that the gathering is successful. For this panel, three planners share their experiences of holding in-person events in the Midwest, discussing the challenges they faced, the precautions they took and how they pulled the thing off.

Learner outcomes:

  • Communications strategies for ensuring attendees feel safe, and follow health guidelines
  • Steps taken to ensure physical distancing, without sacrificing the benefits of face-to-face gatherings
  • A case study in which Covid-19 was detected at an event, and how all those involved responded quickly and effectively.
