NORTHEAST
Home to 36 holes of world-class championship golf, the Nemacolin Resort sits on 2,000 scenic acres in Farmington, Pa. The property’s two Pete Dye-designed layouts includes the 18-hole Mystic Rock, ranked in the top 100 for U.S. golf courses by Golfweek and Golf Digest magazines. The brilliantly designed 18-hole, par-72 Shepherd’s Rock unfolds for 7,290 yards across the beautiful terrain of the Pennsylvania Allegheny Mountains.

On 429 acres in Cape Cod, Mass., the 340-room Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club offers the 18-hole Privé course, from Jack Nicklaus Design. The par-72 layout is carved out of breathtaking natural surroundings, offering tree-lined fairways, rolling topography and dramatic elevation changes for players of all levels. Groups of up to 500 people can meet in 21,000 square feet of indoor space as well as enjoy instruction and golf-themed team-building exercises outdoors.
The 269 Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, N.H., features two golf courses. Restored to Donald Ross’ original 1915 design, the 18-hole, par-72 Mount Washington Course has hosted four New Hampshire Opens and affords fine views of the surrounding mountains. The nine-hole, par-35 Mount Pleasant Course runs alongside the Ammonoosuc River and has beautiful fairways, two small ponds and three holes playable directly over the river. The resort has 30,000 square feet of meeting space.
SOUTHEAST
Since opening in 1962, the 643-room Trump National Doral Miami has been a favorite of golfers, thanks to four championship courses. Among them, the legendary 7,590-yard, 18-hole Blue Monster has hosted numerous PGA Tour events and offers Immaculate greens, challenging layouts and awe-inspiring vistas. As the sun sets, the course’s putting green hosts rounds of miniature golf using glowing balls.
Groups also can revel in the state-of-the-art True Spec Golf practice facility or improve their swing at the Rick Smith Golf Performance Center. The resort also has a full-service spa, tennis courts and multiple dining outlets. Groups meet in 100,000 square feet of indoor space and 75,000 square feet of outdoor space, with advanced A/V capability.
With 18 Arnold Palmer-designed holes, elevated greens and strategically placed bunkers surrounded by enchanting flora and wildlife, the Shingle Creek Golf Club at the 1,501-room Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando is a powerful draw for golfers of all abilities. Also on-site is the Shingle Creek Golf Academy, 15 award-winning restaurants and more than 540,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space.
In Northwest Georgia, the 140-room Barnsley Resort is home to an 18-hole Jim Fazio golf course spanning 378 acres of rolling hills and with some of the fastest greens in the Southeast winding through a lake, forests and gardens. Also on tap is private instruction and the Golf Performance Center to help groups improve their game. The resort has 16,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and some unique outdoor gathering spots.
MIDWEST
Four award-winning championship golf courses grace the 241-room Destination Kohler in Eastern Wisconsin. Whistling Straits comprises the 18-hole Straits Course and the 18-hole Irish Course, the former nestled against Lake Michigan with a rugged, windswept terrain, and the latter with beautiful fairways that glisten in the sun. Similarly, the property’s Blackwolf Run consists of the 18-hole River Course set along a glacial basin of the Seboygan River, while the 18-hole Meadow Valleys Course offers a variety of open meadow and valley terrain.
Destination Kohler also offers some fun golf-centered attractions such as the Champions Locker Room, which showcases locker of pros such as Tiger Woods and John Daly, the Kohler Swing Studio for instruction and a most relaxing spa treatment called “On the Green CBD.” Meeting space includes a hall that can host up to 850 guests for a reception and 600 for a banquet.
In Lake Geneva, Wis., the 358-room Grand Geneva Resort & Spa offers two championship courses: the 18-hole, par-72 Brute is considered one of Wisconsin’s best with 68 bunkers and huge rolling greens; the 18-hole Highlands is a Scottish-inspired links-style course complete with scenic hills, trickling creeks and lush foliage. Other resort features include three restaurants, a spa, a ski and snowboarding facility and 62,000 square feet of meeting space.
With four award-winning courses and modern facilities, the 80-room Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa in Galena, Ill., offers memorable fairway experiences for groups and individuals. The famed 18-hole General course has a 289-foot elevation change from the first hole to the last, with spectacular views of three states. After a match, the sybaritic Stonedrift Spa beckons, while 15,000 square feet of event space can accommodate conferences and banquets for up to 300 people.
SOUTHWEST
Amid 125 acres of stunning Sonoran Desert terrain in Paradise Valley, Ariz., the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is home to the Camelback Golf Club, featuring two 18-hole championship courses. The par-72 Ambiente has native grasses, lakes, lofty trees and spectacular mountain views, while the par-72 Padre Course includes towering trees, multiple lakes, subtle landforms and impressive bunkers. Before or after a round, attendees can gather at the pueblo-style clubhouse and share lunch or drinks on the deck of Acacia Restaurant & Lounge.
This landmark resort has 453 standalone guest casitas and suites, each with a garden patio or balcony. Also on-site are a 32,000-square-foot spa, six tennis courts, two heated outdoor swimming pools, seven restaurants and lounges, and more than 125,000 square feet of meeting space, including the 20,000-square-foot Arizona Ballroom.
Continuing its nearly century-long history of service, the iconic 331-room Wigwam resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz., has three distinctive 18-hole championship golf courses: the Gold Course, recognized as one of Arizona's most challenging; the Blue Course, both aggravating and invigorating with its small elevated greens, and the Red Course, with a beautiful layout lined with pine and eucalyptus trees. The 440-acre property has more than 100,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space.
Guests at the 302-room Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa have access to the stunning Fazio Course at the adjacent Stonebriar Country Cub. The 18-hole course showcases manicured fairways, challenging hazards and strategically placed bunkers for stimulating play. A recent revamp added a posh new spa facility to the resort, and over 30,000 square feet of meeting space includes 19 event rooms and beautiful outdoor grounds that can be reserved for private use.
In the shadow of snow-capped Pikes Peak, the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs features the 27-hole Kissing Camels Golf Course, with its groomed fairways, bunkered greens and towering pines. Golf programs include lessons, clinics, custom club fittings and beginner instruction by friendly PGA staff. Fresh from a $40 million renovation, the 117-room resort has seven flexible function rooms spanning more than 12,000 square feet, plus over 10,000 square feet of outdoor lawns and terraces.
FAR WEST
Just 80 miles from Seattle, the 254-room Suncadia in Cle Elum, Wash., has 36 holes of championship golf on its 6,400-acre property, all surrounded by forests and the towering granite peaks of the eastern slopes of the Cascades. Set within a pine forest with lakes and ponds, the 18-hole Prospector course was designed by Arnold Palmer and features rolling, well-bunkered fairways, fast greens and plenty of risk/reward challenges for golfers of all abilities. The beautiful Jacobsen Hardy Rope Rider course winds through 7,300 yards and 18 holes of challenging terrain and includes a three-hole short-course golf park.
For meetings and event groups, more than 15,000 square feet of flexible space extends across a variety of venues; the Lodge at Suncadia’s full-service conference and event venues include meeting rooms, ballrooms and breakout rooms. The on-site Nelson Farm offers its own indoor and outdoor space, including an amphitheater and lots of inspiration for team building.
Perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff and celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023, the 400-room Monarch Beach Resort & Club has an 18-hole, par-70 championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Playing between 5,000 and 6,645 yards along the California coast, the course has manicured fairways, undulating greens flower beds and white-sand bunkers. The resort has more than 30,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 80,000 square feet of lush outdoor areas for gatherings.
Having first made its mark as a pioneering ski resort in 1936, the 485-room Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, is a favorite with golfers thanks to its 18-hole, 6,968-yard Trail Creek course. Designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. created a full complement of stream carries and bunkers well-positioned to catch the errant shot. Play crosses the beautiful Trail Creek seven times on the front nine alone. The property, minutes from Friedman Memorial Airport, has 24,000 square feet of meeting space.
INTERNATIONAL AND U.S. TERRITORIES
Tucked between El Yunque National Forest and two miles of secluded golden beach along the northeastern shoreline of Puerto Rico, the 400-room Wyndham Grand Rio Mar occupies 500 acres with spectacular ocean, rainforest and lush tropical views, along with two 18-hole championship golf courses. Designed by Greg Norman, the River Course lies alongside the Mameyes River, its holes blending into the existing foliage and featuring open greens, wide fairways and shallow bunkers. The 6,716-yard Ocean Course lies between the El Yunque Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, its challenging 16th hole considered one of the best in the Caribbean.
The resort also has a driving range with chip and putting areas, and an in-house golf pro offering private lessons. Other lures include nine restaurants, a spa and a casino. The 48,000-square-foot Oceanfront Conference Center is just part of nearly 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
The 247-room Casa de Campo is a 7,000-acre paradise on the Dominican Republic’s southeast coastline. Guests find themselves surrounded by pristine Caribbean waters on three courses masterfully designed by Pete Dye. Nighttime golf parties, a new high-tech driving range and a learning center add to the allure. The resort has over 15,000 square feet of meeting space across two modern conference centers, along with a variety of unique outdoor spaces.
In Puerto Rico’s prestigious, private Palmas del Mar community, the 107-room Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Resort offers access to two world-class 18-hole golf courses designed by two golf legends, Gary Player and Rees Jones, respectively. Each course features target greens, short game areas, putting greens and private instruction options, all presided over by a 40,000-square-foot clubhouse. Tennis, pickleball and horseback riding also are available, as is a 6,000-square-foot ballroom.
