Nemacolin

Home to 36 holes of world-class championship golf, the Nemacolin Resort sits on 2,000 scenic acres in Farmington, Pa. On 429 acres in Cape Cod, Mass., the 340-room Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club offers the 18-hole Privé course, from Jack Nicklaus Design. Omni Mount Washington Resort

The 269 Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, N.H., features two golf courses. Restored to Donald Ross’ original 1915 design, the 18-hole, par-72 Mount Washington Course has hosted four New Hampshire Opens and affords fine views of the surrounding mountains. The nine-hole, par-35 Mount Pleasant Course runs alongside the Ammonoosuc River and has beautiful fairways, two small ponds and three holes playable directly over the river. The resort has 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

Trump National Doral Miami

Since opening in 1962, the 643-room Trump National Doral Miami has been a favorite of golfers, thanks to four championship courses. Among them, the legendary 7,590-yard, 18-hole Blue Monster has hosted numerous PGA Tour events and offers Immaculate greens, challenging layouts and awe-inspiring vistas. As the sun sets, the course’s putting green hosts rounds of miniature golf using glowing balls.

Groups also can revel in the state-of-the-art True Spec Golf practice facility or improve their swing at the Rick Smith Golf Performance Center. Barnsley Resort

In Northwest Georgia, the 140-room Barnsley Resort is home to an 18-hole Jim Fazio golf course spanning 378 acres of rolling hills and with some of the fastest greens in the Southeast winding through a lake, forests and gardens. Destination Kohler

Four award-winning championship golf courses grace the 241-room Destination Kohler in Eastern Wisconsin. Whistling Straits comprises the 18-hole Straits Course and the 18-hole Irish Course, the former nestled against Lake Michigan with a rugged, windswept terrain, and the latter with beautiful fairways that glisten in the sun. Similarly, the property’s Blackwolf Run consists of the 18-hole River Course set along a glacial basin of the Seboygan River, while the 18-hole Meadow Valleys Course offers a variety of open meadow and valley terrain.

Suncadia Resort

Just 80 miles from Seattle, the 254-room Suncadia in Cle Elum, Wash., has 36 holes of championship golf on its 6,400-acre property, all surrounded by forests and the towering granite peaks of the eastern slopes of the Cascades. Set within a pine forest with lakes and ponds, the 18-hole Prospector course was designed by Arnold Palmer and features rolling, well-bunkered fairways, fast greens and plenty of risk/reward challenges for golfers of all abilities. The beautiful Jacobsen Hardy Rope Rider course winds through 7,300 yards and 18 holes of challenging terrain and includes a three-hole short-course golf park.

For meetings and event groups, more than 15,000 square feet of flexible space extends across a variety of venues; the Lodge at Suncadia’s full-service conference and event venues include meeting rooms, ballrooms and breakout rooms. The on-site Nelson Farm offers its own indoor and outdoor space, including an amphitheater and lots of inspiration for team building.

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club

Perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff and celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023, the 400-room Monarch Beach Resort & Club has an 18-hole, par-70 championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Playing between 5,000 and 6,645 yards along the California coast, the course has manicured fairways, undulating greens flower beds and white-sand bunkers. The resort has more than 30,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 80,000 square feet of lush outdoor areas for gatherings.

Sun Valley Resort

Having first made its mark as a pioneering ski resort in 1936, the 485-room Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, is a favorite with golfers thanks to its 18-hole, 6,968-yard Trail Creek course. Designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. created a full complement of stream carries and bunkers well-positioned to catch the errant shot. Play crosses the beautiful Trail Creek seven times on the front nine alone. The property, minutes from Friedman Memorial Airport, has 24,000 square feet of meeting space.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort

Tucked between El Yunque National Forest and two miles of secluded golden beach along the northeastern shoreline of Puerto Rico, the 400-room Wyndham Grand Rio Mar occupies 500 acres with spectacular ocean, rainforest and lush tropical views, along with two 18-hole championship golf courses. Designed by Greg Norman, the River Course lies alongside the Mameyes River, its holes blending into the existing foliage and featuring open greens, wide fairways and shallow bunkers. The 6,716-yard Ocean Course lies between the El Yunque Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, its challenging 16th hole considered one of the best in the Caribbean.
