Vienna sets the perfect stage for meetings of all kinds and sizes. A welcoming, multicultural destination in the heart of Europe, the city unlocks new synergies and guarantees the highest standards of accommodation, meeting locations, arts and culture offerings. By doing so Vienna never fails to inspire and surprise.
Meet Us in the Extraordinary
The Austrian capital stands out from the crowd thanks to its exceptional amenities and infrastructure, relatively compact size, reliable standards and incredible range of cultural attractions. Vienna combines its rich imperial heritage with everything that a modern, forward-looking city with impeccable quality of life has to offer. All of these different factors are given center stage in the new Meeting Destination Vienna promotional video, above. Entitled “Meet us in the extraordinary,” it shows participants in everyday meeting situations in out-of-the ordinary locations.
The soundtrack comes courtesy of another Viennese original: the waltz represents Vienna like no other music. Exuding joy and levity, it is the perfect accompaniment for Meeting Destination Vienna: in short, Vienna makes it easy for organizers to select the Austrian capital as the destination for their next meeting.

Uniquely Diverse
From the Albertina to the Burgtheater, the Spanish Riding School and Old Danube with the Vienna skyline in the background, the Butterfly house, Prater park and the vineyards on the Nussberg hill — with Vienna at its feet — these locations were selected as they clearly showcase the city’s diversity as a meeting destination: Vienna as a capital of culture, a contemporary capital brimming with history and tradition, and a green city for participants and organizers to enjoy after a meeting.
Three conference centers for meetings with up to 29,000 people and more than 200 venues for meetings from historic to contemporary await you in Vienna.

And recently two spectacular new event locations opened their doors: “Ariana” is located in one of the largest urban development areas in Europe and Vienna’s hotspot for Smart City technology — the “Seestadt Aspern.” It offers top-quality facilities and infrastructure, leading security standards, and a sound system which acoustics were developed by the sound engineering team of the Vienna Boys' Choir. “Weitsicht Cobenzl” opened just a few weeks ago as a versatile and completely renovated location with the highest design standards — and a long history. As early as around 1900, the Viennese made their way up the hill to enjoy the fantastic view of the city. Several buildings make a great ensemble, the highlight is the "Kuppelsaal" which offers space for up to 500 people.

Where Tradition Meets Innovation
In Vienna, meeting attendees can feel and experience the imperial flair of past times and, at the same time, engage with a modern city that is constantly developing further. The compact geography makes local attractions only a few (walking or public transport) minutes away from the most modern meeting venues and business areas.
With more than 350 hotels and around 32,500 rooms to suit all tastes and budgets, and many exciting new hotel projects, meeting planners can choose Vienna as a sustainable and fast growing meeting destination. The newest additions such as Rosewood Vienna, the luxury hotel chain’s fifth hotel in Europe and the first in the German-speaking region, or The Leo Grand, a listed Baroque gem transformed into a luxury hotel, have one thing in common — the Viennese great taste when it comes to design and style.

Outstanding Quality and the Best Service
This June, Vienna ranked first in the Economist’s "Global Liveability Index" once again and confirmed its role as “most livable city in the world.” In addition to criteria such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and culture, Vienna scored particularly well in the areas of safety and stability, aspects that are particularly relevant for meeting planners and delegates. So, it comes with no surprise, that Vienna is one of the leading meeting destinations worldwide – as recently confirmed by the “2021 ICCA Ranking — Destination Performance Index (DPI)” which listed the Austrian capital as number one.
