Safely Equipped for Tomorrow's Meetings
Along with its GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) STAR Facility Accreditation—the cleaning industry's highest standard for prepared facilities—the new SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, opening spring 2021, is completely equipped for tomorrow's meetings. The convention center's renovation and expansion project began in January 2019 and is set for completion early this year. Because of this timeline, the facility has not been exposed to outdoor elements during COVID-19 and is freshly reimagined.
Gold Star Standard for Health & Safety
From meeting facilities, venues and hotels to local restaurants and attractions, see what the Sacramento community has done to ensure attendees can meet safely in the city.
Meeting Venues & Hotels Pledging Best Practices
Sacramento’s meeting facilities and unique venues have implemented health and safety protocols established by best-practice industry standards. Hotels have spent the past several months refining cleaning practices and implementing safety measures to ensure attendees can meet and stay comfortably and confidently.
Dining & Attractions Committed to Cleanliness
Local restaurants have incorporated additional safety practices to protect customers and employees. Many have made al fresco dining options available—either expanded onto the city sidewalks or into closed-off streets. As for activities and entertainment, Sacramento attractions with outdoor spaces, museums and parks have reopened while following mask and social distancing rules—while indoor attractions have reopened with limited capacity and advanced reservations.
Sacramento’s S.A.F.E. Pledge
Successfully moving the future of meetings and conventions forward, the Sacramento S.A.F.E. Pledge is a community-wide commitment to follow best health practices and guidelines to provide Safe Accommodations For Everyone. The program was developed to communicate what local businesses and organizations in Sacramento are doing to keep everyone safe and healthy. All local businesses and hospitality partners that have taken the S.A.F.E. Pledge have agreed to uphold best-practice industry standards by following guidelines and recommendations from the CDC and state/local authorities—and are committed to being transparent with their safety protocols for attendees.
