Salamander Hotels & Resorts

Founded by noted entrepreneur and philanthropist Sheila C. Johnson in 2005, Salamander Hotels & Resorts to date has a portfolio of five luxury properties, each reflecting the authenticity and character of its surrounding environment. At venues such as the 170-room Henderson, a beach resort in Destin, Fla., and the stately Hotel Bennett, with 179 rooms in historic Charleston, S.C., Salamander gives planners and attendees plenty of resources for conducting business — and having fun.

The company came together last year during the depth of the pandemic to develop a Well-Meeting Program that promotes wide-open spaces, imaginative venues, immunity-boosting cuisine, healthful activities, and virtual and hybrid event technologies.
