The city of Dubai is known for going big, with spectacular attractions and luxurious amenities ideal for groups and incentives. More than any other city (perhaps with the exception of Las Vegas), it's associated with keeping things fresh, with new projects on the horizon and change a constant. That image was reinforced with the recent announcement that Hyatt Hotels Corp. will be opening an Andaz-branded hotel on Palm Jumeirah later this year.

The Andaz Dubai The Palm, located on the palm-tree-shaped island that's become an icon of the destination, will be opening in the fourth quarter of 2019, according to Hyatt. Consisting of a pair of 15-story towers and décor that evokes the colors and textures of Arabia, it will be the first Andaz property to open in Dubai and the second in the United Arab Emirates, joining the Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi. Among its offerings are

  • 217 guest rooms (as well as 116 serviced apartments)
  • Four distinct restaurants
  • A fitness center
  • A spa
  • Meeting facilities

"Hyatt is committed to thoughtfully introducing brands to new places and providing meaningful experiences for each and every guest," said Ludwig Bouldoukian, Hyatt's Dubai-based regional vice president of development, Middle East and North Africa. "We're excited to introduce the Andaz brand to Dubai and believe that the globally renowned Palm Jumeirah provides the ideal setting to realize this vision. The vibrant luxury property will attract travelers looking to fully immerse themselves in Dubai and engage them through unique programming."

This is just the latest property to be announced in the always bustling city of Dubai. Below are four other new hotels that have recently opened or are on the horizon in this destination.
