Now featuring 11 hotels with the recent opening of Universal Helios Grand Hotel, copious amounts of meeting space, four theme parks and a dining and entertainment area with myriad options, Universal Orlando Resort can meet the needs of any group.
Through a joint-venture partnership between Loews Hotels and Universal, the hotels run the gamut from themes based on various worldwide locales and a Hard Rock Hotel to value-based properties for groups needing overflow rooms. Meeting space on site is widely varied too, enabling groups large and small to find a home. Meanwhile, Universal’s four theme parks and its dining and entertainment district provide a vast array of entertainment, food and fun just a stone’s throw away from the properties.
The “universe” at Universal Orlando Resort is getting bigger: The Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel, made its debut within the much-anticipated Universal Epic Universe theme park. Bringing the destination’s portfolio to a total of 11 hotels and 11,000 guest rooms, the property is being designed to transport guests to “a fantastical world within the palace of Helios, the Greek god of the sun” through design elements such as celestial and constellation patterns as well as elegant, yet casual Mediterranean components. A total of 500 guest rooms and suites, some with views of Universal Epic Universe, offer a tranquil garden “feel,” while a dedicated entrance off the lobby provides easy guest access to and from the theme park (valid admission tickets required).
At Bar Helios, a rooftop bar and lounge, attendees can indulge in creative tapas and familiar favorites, plus handcrafted specialty cocktails, while enjoying 360-degree views of Universal Epic Universe and beyond. Onsite meeting space includes the Helios Grand Hall, a 5,000-square-foot function space that also offers customizable banquet menus. A resort-style, zero-entry pool with rental cabanas, a hot tub, poolside movies, and more; a fitness center, a game room and a Universal Orlando Resort Store top the list of other amenities. There are three diverse dining options: Flora Taverna, a full-service restaurant and lobby bar serving Mediterranean comfort foods in a setting overlooking beautiful Celestial Park; Aurora Market, a contemporary coffee shop offering freshly roasted coffees, grab-and-go food items, and enticing snacks from day to night; and the Lotus Lagoon poolside bar and grille. Additional guest perks encompass Early Park Admission to select attractions at Universal’s theme parks (up to one hour early with valid admission tickets), complimentary shuttle transportation to the theme parks and Universal CityWalk, resort-wide charging privileges and more.
Embracing the growing trend of “mindful consumption,” three Loews properties at Universal Orlando Resort are debuting the Free Spirited by Loews elevated, bespoke bar program for guests who choose to consume less or no alcohol. The program, which extends beyond the bar to integrate with catering and event planning, offers a curated selection of non-alcoholic beverages that reflect popular flavors and are designed to be as “thoughtful and intricate” as their alcoholic counterparts. Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando features the Royal Orchid, made with pineapple juice, house-made blueberry rosemary syrup, orgeat, lemon juice, and sparkling yuzu, while Amatista Cookhouse at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando serves up the Sapphire Margarita, prepared with Lyre’s orange sec spirit, white cane spirit, orgeat, lime juice, blue agave, freshly squeezed lime, and salt. The Thirsty Fish at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando touts the Arancia No-ssa, which contains Lyre’s non-alcoholic agave, Italian orange, blood orange, and lime juice.
Universal Orlando Resort is adding two new distinctive properties to its menu of hotel options, giving planners an even wider selection of options for groups. Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort will boast a combined total of 1,500 luminous, ultramodern and surreal guest rooms with two queen beds and spaceship-style windows, making them an ultimate escape where attendees can rest amongst stars and planets.
