Here are some examples of new and renovated properties with extensive meeting and event space.
Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center
Opening in May 2025, Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center is one of the newest hotels in the San Diego area. Located just seven miles from downtown, the resort offers memorable settings for meetings with a view, with expansive vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the Chula Vista Marina.
The 1,600-room property features more than 488,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. Highlights include four large ballrooms, 67 breakout rooms, outdoor venues and multiple food and beverage outlets.
When not working, attendees can relax in private cabanas at the resort’s 4.25-acre water park, which has slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a poolside bar.
W Hollywood
Sporting the glow of a recent renovation, W Hollywood is an attractively updated destination for meetings and events in Los Angeles, in a prime location between Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards.
The property’s bold design provides a contemporary backdrop for events, with more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including 11 event rooms and 10 breakout rooms.
Floor-to-ceiling windows offer natural light and views of the Hollywood Hills, and impressive vistas are also a selling point for the guest rooms, some of which face the legendary Hollywood sign.
The hotel’s soon-to-open Luxe Level, meanwhile, will provide an even more indulgent experience for VIP attendees, with a variety of perks and amenities. Additional features include multiple restaurants and bars, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and The Loft, a recording facility with a 44-channel spatial sound system.
Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa
Opened in 2024 following a $25 million renovation, Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa combines the allure of an Official Walt Disney World Hotel with the practicality of extensive onsite meeting and event facilities.
Located in the Disney Springs Resort Area, this property has more than 25,000 square feet of event space, with 13 event rooms and a recently added, 5,000-square-foot terrace.
Onsite amenities include multiple restaurants, a spa, outdoor pool and a children’s activity area that makes the hotel ideal for bleisure travelers. Groups can also visit nearby restaurants, shopping and entertainment in Disney Springs — and take advantage of the hotel’s free shuttle service to the Walt Disney World theme parks, where hotel guests enjoy early access.
The Westin DC Downtown
Also fresh from a recent renovation is The Westin DC Downtown, which offers extensive group facilities in the heart of the nation’s capital. With more than 77,000 square feet of meeting and event space — including 36 event rooms and 25 breakout rooms — this property is well equipped to handle groups both large and small.
Among the event venue standouts is the 11th-floor outdoor terrace, which offers event space with picturesque city views. The hotel is strategically located within walking distance of the Walter E. Convention Center as well as government buildings, cultural facilities, restaurants and entertainment venues, making it easy for groups to experience what Washington, D.C. has to offer.
Onsite food and beverage venues include Root and Vine, which offers private dining for up to 225 people, and Open Kitchen Counter, where attendees can witness chefs in action.
