Universal Orlando Resort is introducing a host of new attractions, restaurants and delights in 2019, joining the long list of already offered hotels, resorts and rides.
6 New Attractions and Restaurants at Universal Orlando Resort
1. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
Hogwarts will cast more spells across Universal Studios Florida this summer with the addition of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Riders will hop aboard Hagrid’s beloved motorbike and delve deep into the wilds of the Forbidden Forest, where they will rub elbows with magical creatures both good and evil. Brave riders can expect to come face-to-face with Fluffy, the three-headed dog; Cornish pixies, centaurs and more. One wrong turn, though, and they could face a nasty run-in with Devil’s Snare, a perilous plant that can strangle people who touch its dexterous vines.
2. Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle
Also debuting at the Wizarding World this year is the Dark Arts At Hogwarts Castle light-projection experience, a spectacle that will bring some of the eeriest creatures and darkest wizards of the Harry Potter series to life.
3. Fast & Furious-Supercharged
Fast & Furious-Supercharged, based on the Fast and Furious racing-film franchise, zoomed into Universal Studios Florida last year.
4. Jurassic World — The Ride
Universal’s classic Jurassic Park water ride is getting a revamp, which will reopen this summer as Jurassic World — The Ride. The compelling 4-D experience will incorporate dinosaurs and other hair-raising creatures from the latest Jurassic movies while upping the ante on suspense. The reimagined attraction centers around the escape of Indominus Rex, which wreaks havoc throughout the park. The aquatic Mosasaurus also will make an appearance in a huge glass-encased Aquarium Observatory tank.
5. Bigfire Grill Restaurant
Coming this summer to Universal Orlando’s CityWalk is the Bigfire Grill restaurant. The two-story eatery will have a “grand lakeside lodge” theme and offer wood-fired specialties. The new restaurant replaces Emeril’s Orlando, which closed last year following nearly two decades in business.

6. Studio 1A Today Café
Another new eatery, the Studio 1A Today Café, opens this spring at Universal. The Big Apple-themed café was designed to mirror the iconic Today show set. Among the offerings are handcrafted cappuccinos, espresso, lattes, a proprietary coffee blend created just for the café and fresh-baked pastries, along with specialty food-and-beverage options inspired by Today co-anchor Al Roker’s favorite recipes.
