The 8th edition of The Meetings Show launched today in an all-virtual format that allows buyers and suppliers access to live and on-demand education, appointments and valuable networking. Within four hours of the event opening, nearly 2,000 active users had exchanged 33,000 messages, created 17,000 discussions and held 2,100 meetings. The three-day hosted-buyer event, which concludes Wednesday, Oct. 21, is still accepting registrations here.
Launched in 2013, the Meetings Show is Northstar Meetings Group’s largest meetings industry event, welcoming exhibitors from the United Kingdom and around the world. The industry-leading gathering features exhibitors including hotels, convention and visitor bureaus, destination management companies, conference centers, venues and technology suppliers.
The 2020 Format
Of necessity, this year’s format was created to keep business meeting and event professionals connected and informed, wherever they are in the world. As with previous shows, thousands of pre-qualified buyers will meet with exhibitors, attend education sessions and network with their peers, but this time through a leading virtual event platform
Expert speakers will cover a range of pertinent themes over the three days, such as sustainability and creative thinking. The sessions will provide insight on future trends and event design, effective use of technology and tips for measuring ROI.
In between meetings, networking and education sessions, participants will be entertained by the show’s new TMS TV, which for the first time will be broadcasting throughout the three days. Programming includes exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with speakers and exhibitors, as well as insightful discussions, tips and more from some of the industry’s leading figures.
The Meetings Show will run virtually Oct. 19-21. Join in the conversation and find out who else is attending by using the hashtag #MeetYouAtTheShow. For more information and to register to attend, click here.
