New & Coming Soon to Chandler

  • A new option for fine dining has opened in the recently restored Rowena Theater building in Downtown Chandler. Elliott’s Steakhouse features a 47-foot bar offering an extensive cocktail menu, a curated menu that combines new flavors with traditional favorites and 1,000 square feet of space for private dinners and events. Originally opened in 1912 as Chandler’s first brick grocery store, the 6,500-square-foot building later became the city’s first movie theater.
  • The cornerstone of downtown Chandler, the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Chandler Golf Resort recently completed a $16 million renovation of its guest rooms and public spaces. The historic hotel, which originally opened in 1913, offers an abundance of on-site activities that includes the adjacent San Marcos Golf Course, the first grass course built in Arizona. The property has 249 guest rooms (all of which have balconies or patios) and more than 30,000 square feet of meeting space.
  • The 197-room Hilton Phoenix Chandler, which features 17,000 square feet of meeting space, has also completed a renovation. The $4.5 million project included updates to the entrance, lobby, bar, restaurants and meeting rooms found on the hotel’s first floor. Situated near the Chandler Fashion Center Mall, the Hilton Phoenix Chandler is a four-time recipient of the Hilton Conrad “Connie” award for guest satisfaction and quality assurance.
  • The 110-room Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Chandler has received approval for an expansion that is expected to add up to 69 guest rooms, a 3,500-square-foot conference room, more green space and a new restaurant called Jeannie Martini’s.
  • The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Chandler received the 2022 DoubleTree by Hilton Award of Excellence for U.S./Canada hotels with fewer than 224 rooms. The hotel provides 160 guest rooms and 2,200 square feet of meeting space.
  • Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has opened its first Arizona location in Chandler in 2024. In addition to multi-level kart tracks, Laser Tag, Duckpin Bowling, 7D Xperience Motion Theater and arcade games, the facility has 6,000 square feet of event space that comes with in-house catering, free wifi and full audiovisual capabilities. Groups of 10-2,000 are accommodated.
  • Chandler’s local dining scene will be expanding soon with the addition of a new food hall in the downtown area. Scheduled to begin construction in 2024, the two-story food hall is expected to house up to a dozen restaurants, seating for up to 600 people and space for special events.

  • Arizona’s largest combined brewery and distillery, SanTan Gardens, offers outdoor event space for groups of up to 120 people. Located adjacent to its tasting room (also available for events), the venue provides a stage, farmhouse-style tables, a built-in, surround-sound PA system and a variety of lighting features that can be customized to the occasion.
  • The Forum Complex, located on Chandler’s border with Gilbert, features a variety of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces with customizable layouts, plug-and-play connectivity, high-tech lighting and audiovisual systems, and a full-service bar and kitchen. In addition to its many conference rooms, the 21,000-square-foot building has four unique private event spaces that can be rented individually, in combination, or as an entire venue buy-out for larger groups. 
  • Anchoring Chandler’s downtown entertainment district, the Chandler Center for the Arts features performance spaces and art galleries that not only host a variety of programs year-round but are also available to rent for private events. Available spaces include the center’s grand foyer, which can accommodate up to 350 people, and the Steena Murray Mainstage, which seats 1,500. The center is located near Chandler’s historic square and its more than 60 woorks of public art
  • Near the Chandler Airport, the Avion Center offers event space equipped to host everything from small business meetings to large social functions. The center provides state-of-the-art lighting and AV technology, a variety of décor options and free wifi. The ballroom, which can accommodate groups of up to 480 people, features a private patio and a prep kitchen
  • One of Chandler’s newest hotels, the Marriott Phoenix Chandler offers 264 guest rooms and 28,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 10,100-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. The property has unveiled a unveiled new outdoor event space featuring desert and mountain views. Located near the pool area, the hotel’s West Lawn can host seated dinners for up to 100 people or receptions for up to 150. Other offerings include a variety of public spaces for networking, plus a restaurant, lounge, grab-and-go market, outdoor pool, fire pits and state-of-the-art fitness center.
  • Originally built as a cottage in 1939, Hidden House now offers a unique dining experience and an extensive cocktail program in the downtown area. Private dining is available for up to 80 people in spaces that include the front patio and cottage interior. The restaurant’s indoor-outdoor Hidden Terrace and Hidden Hangar can be combined to host receptions for up to 350 people.
  • Hotels with space for smaller meetings near Chandler Fashion Center and the city’s tech corridor include the Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Chandler Fashion Center, Drury Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler Fashion and Hyatt Place Phoenix/Chandler-Fashion Center. Next to the Ocotillo Golf Club, Holiday Inn Phoenix Chandler also offers space for small meetings.
  • Chandler’s dynamic food scene provides a wide variety of options for private events. Culinary experiences include Arizona’s only fine-dining Indian restaurant, Feringhee Modern Indian Cuisine, which features space for up to 100 people in its banquet hall, and Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant, with two private dining rooms that can be combined to accommodate up to 48 people.  
  • Planners seeking one-of-a-kind gifts for attendees or speakers will find local souvenirs, art and award-winning caramels handcrafted on site at d’Vine Gourmet in Downtown Chandler. The shop also creates gift baskets and boxes featuring Arizona wine, beer and gourmet foods in a wide assortment of themes, sizes and price ranges.

  • One of the largest indoor pickleball facilities in the U.S., Pickleball Kingdom in West Chandler offers groups a lively team-building activity that taps into one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. In addition to 15 pickleball courts, the venue features a viewing mezzanine, pro shop, snack bar and locker rooms. Professional coaches can teach groups the game and help plan competitive events
  • Groups seeking a true farm-to-table experience without leaving the city will find an ideal setting at Greenhouse Gardens. The four-acre urban farm hosts gatherings in the historic barn or outside in the garden itself; meals . feature the venue's organic produce and other locally sourced ingredients
  • Planners looking for an energizing team-building exercise can head to Game Show Battle Rooms in West Chandler. Groups of up to 65 people are guided through “classic showdowns” or “primetime showdowns,” with the traditional flashing lights, sound effects and enthusiastic TV game show host.
  • In the heart of the Gila River Indian Community Reservation, Koli Equestrian Center’s guided trail rides offer an ideal way to enjoy the beauty of the desert landscape surrounding Chandler. Center staff provide instruction and match riders with horses based on their experience levels before heading out on well-maintained trails offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley.
