GOLD: Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club

Ocean Edge Resort is home to Cape Cod’s only Nicklaus Design golf course. The 18-hole Troon Privé course is carved out of natural surroundings. 

With a mix of harrowing approaches and dizzying doglegs, the Ocean Edge Golf Club presents a stiff test to golfers of all levels. Its vistas, however, will leave you coming back for more. Additional offerings include 21,000 square feet of event space, a private beach, five pools and six restaurants.

GOLD: Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Spend the morning teeing off on the two 18-hole courses designed by Greg Norman at Tiburón Golf Club. Or take to the water on a kayaking expedition before joining other guests on the 19th green for evening cocktails. Additional amenities include a spa and 16,500 sq ft of event space. Located in Naples, Florida, the Tiburón Golf Club features two 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed golf courses, The Gold and The Black.

BRONZE: The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota

Designed by Tom Fazio, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Sarasota sits at Lakewood Ranch 13 miles away from the resort. The par-72 course offers 18 holes that are both challenging and rewarding.

The 7,345 yard, par 72 Gold Course — nicknamed “Arizona’s Monster” — has been recognized as one of Arizona’s most challenging and respected golf courses. GOLD: Temecula Creek Inn

Temecula Creek Golf Club is surrounded by more than 300 acres of natural beauty and majestic mountain views. The Temecula golf courses offer challenging play in a one-of-a-kind, scenic setting. 

The property has three scenic courses, totaling 27 holes in a sunny SoCal setting: Creek, Oaks, and Stone House. The three courses are known for the most excellent conditions in the Inland Empire.

The Creek is a 36 par course on 56.64 acres with an open layout. Oaks, a 36 par course across 56.86 acres, is a more traditional course with oak-lined fairways. The Stone House, also a 36 par course, is set alongside a historic cottage and is the most challenging course at the club.

SILVER: Carmel Valley Ranch

Carmel Valley Ranch is the only Pete Dye-designed, bentgrass golf court in Northern California — and it recently underwent a multimillion-dollar enhancement. The par-70 layout offers something for all players: tactical shots, dramatic elevation changes, incredible scenery. The holes wind through vineyards, lavender fields, ponds and old-growth oak groves, where deer, wild turkey, birdies, eagles and the rarely spotted albatross roam free.

BRONZE: Mauna Kea Beach Hotel

Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is a bucket list resort destination for golf enthusiasts from all over the globe. The desolate black lava fields were impossibly transformed by Mauna Kea Golf Course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. when he was commissioned by hotel developer Laurance S. Rockefeller to design the Island’s first golf course in 1964. Outside of the golf resort's world-class location on the Island of Hawai'i's Kohala Coastline, it has played host to numerous charity golf events which have raised money for multiple charities over the past many years. The hotel and resort is also home to another prestigious 18 hole golf course called Hapuna Golf Course, designed by the amazing likes of Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay.

GOLD: Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius

The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.
