Atlantic City’s hospitality community has invested heavily in updated room inventory, reimagined meeting spaces and new attractions all along the iconic Boardwalk. Caesars Entertainment alone has invested more than $400 million in its three Atlantic City properties.
Central to Caesars’ extensive plan was a $240 million makeover of Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. The work renovated 750 guest rooms and suites in the Centurion and Ocean towers and added Nobu Hotel Atlantic City, an 80-room boutique hotel within the property, which opened in March 2024.
Nobu Hotel’s debut complements Nobu restaurant, a October 2022 addition to the property. Other improvements include a new arrival experience and lobby, and The Pool at Caesars, a spa pool overlooking the Boardwalk. Caesar’s Atlantic City now offers 1,141 guestrooms, 28,000 square feet of meeting space, and 13 restaurants and event venues.
Harrah’s Atlantic City is revamping the 20,000-square-foot Atlantic City Ballroom in its Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center. The property has fully renovated its Waterfront Tower, which offers 900 rooms and suites. Harrah’s offers 2,589 guest rooms, 125,000 square feet of meeting space, and 16 restaurants and venues.
Tropicana, Caesars Entertainment's largest Atlantic City resort, provides another 2,400 guest rooms, 122,000 square feet of meeting space, and 30 restaurants and event venues.
Investing in sustainability and wellness
Another major initiative is the installation of solar canopies at Caesars, Harrah’s and Tropicana. The project is about 80 percent complete, with the final piece — a solar rooftop system at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center — targeted for completion in early 2025. The solar project will move Caesars Entertainment toward its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 100 percent before 2050, as part of its People, Planet, Play sustainability framework.
Caesars Entertainment also launched its wellness initiative in Atlantic City in September. Introduced to its Las Vegas properties in June, a wellness menu for planners that encompasses food and beverage, activations and event content is now rolling out on the East Coast.
