International associations, foundations, corporations and meetings industry professionals from all sectors are invited to show their support for Ukraine by attending the Unbroken Emergency Summit on Oct. 30. Attendees can join the in-person program in Lviv, Ukraine, or participate virtually in this hybrid event.

The gathering is designed to educate and connect international organizations and industry professionals with a common goal of helping Ukraine rebuild its essential infrastructure and care for those wounded in the war with Russia.

According to the event website, Lviv has become a humanitarian hub for people fleeing the war because it is the city furthest from the front lines and the closest to Ukraine's NATO allies in Poland and Western Europe. (Lviv is less than 50 miles from the border with Poland.) To date, the city has processed 5 million internally displaced people, as well as 30,000 injured persons and 20,000 amputees.

The Unbroken Emergency Summit organizers intend to raise funds for the construction of Lviv's Unbroken Rehabilitation Center, which includes the Unbroken Kids Department and a new surgical center for wounded soldiers and civilians. Funds will also be used to support accommodation blocks as well as cultural and sporting rehabilitation facilities for internally displaced people.

Event objectives include:

  1. Connect international associations and groups in medicine, energy, environment, civil society and education with representatives of Lviv communities in the same fields.
  2. Help international organizations become familiar with the needs of Lviv to treat and accommodate wounded soldiers and civilians returning from the southern and eastern war fronts.
  3. Share insight of Ukraine's unique experiences during the war with international colleagues to build knowledge for future crises.
  4. Connect Ukrainian experts with international communities and associations, and encourage membership to these groups.
  5. Increase awareness of Lviv as an intellectual hub for future meetings and events.
  6. Raise funds for Lviv's reconstruction and rehabilitation project.

There is no registration fee to attend the Unbroken Emergency Summit, whether in person or online. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the Unbroken Kids Department.
