Northstar Meetings Group will host the 2026 edition of Destination Southwest in El Paso, Texas. Taking place on Dec. 6-8 at the El Paso Convention Center, the event will bring together highly qualified meeting and incentive buyers with leading suppliers from across the Southwest for three days of education, networking and business-building opportunities. It will be held in partnership with the El Paso Convention Center, Visit El Paso and Hotel Paso Del Norte, Autograph Collection.

Through one-on-one appointments and structured networking sessions, planners will connect with top hotels, DMOs, DMCs, attractions, technology providers and merchandise suppliers from Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. Attendees will meet directly with suppliers ready to help bring meetings and incentive programs to life throughout the region. The agenda will also feature two keynote presentations from expert event-industry leaders, with speakers to be announced shortly.

Beyond the event itself, attendees will have the chance to experience El Paso firsthand. Known as the Sun City for its roughly 300 days of sunshine each year, the destination offers a thriving culinary scene, rich cultural attractions, and a variety of unique venues and outdoor recreation opportunities for groups.

El Paso is also entering a new chapter in its tourism leadership. In August, Veronica Castro was named executive director of Visit El Paso after serving as the organization's director of tourism development and strategic alliances for the past nine years. In her new role, Castro oversees destination marketing efforts focused on strengthening the visitor economy, building strategic partnerships and further elevating El Paso's profile as a premier destination for meetings, events, sports and leisure travel.
