Northstar Meetings Group, along with its esteemed brands — Meetings & Conventions, Incentive, Meeting News and Successful Meetings — is pleased to announce the recipients of the 8th Annual Stella Awards. This year, 248 organizations worldwide have been honored for their exceptional contributions to quality service and innovation in the meetings and events industry. The Stella Awards represent the pinnacle of excellence across key industry segments, including hotels, convention and conference centers, airlines, cruise lines, DMOs/CVBs and DMCs. This year’s winners were selected from more than 8,000 votes and a record-breaking 1,001 nominations, highlighting their excellence in areas such as food and beverage offerings, staff professionalism, sustainability initiatives and overall service quality.
Among the Gold Winners this year is Delta Airlines in the Best Airline category — a multi-year winner with extensive, industry-leading programs for group business. Gaylord Hotels garnered the Gold in the Best Hotel Chain category, offering extraordinary meeting venues across prime destination cities. Leading the charge toward responsible tourism, Iberostar Hotels and Resorts earned top honors for Best Sustainability Initiative. Meet Long Beach, meanwhile, has maintained its winning streak for eight consecutive years in the Best CVB/DMO category for the Far West region.
“The Stella Awards not only celebrate excellence but also inspire continuous improvement and innovation within the meetings and events industry,” said Loren Edelstein, vice president and content director for Northstar Meetings Group. “Winners set the benchmark for quality and service, motivating others to strive for similar achievements.”
Honorees earn their accolades through nominations and votes from planners, followed by a rigorous evaluation by a panel of judges selected by Northstar’s editors. Notably, the categories “Best Hotel/Resort Renovation” and “Best DMC” were among the most popular this year, underscoring the importance of innovative event design and execution.
Nominations for the 2025 Stella Awards will open on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Organizations are encouraged to submit their entries early to benefit from the lowest rates and maximum marketing support.
