Due to ongoing COVID-19 developments, the Incentive Research Foundation has cancelled its annual Education Invitational event, which was slated to take place Dec. 1-4, 2020, in the Dominican Republic. The signature event was originally scheduled to take place in May 2020, but had been postponed this spring to the December dates.
At the same time, the IRF announced that the 2021 Education Invitational will take place June 2-5 at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.
"Due to COVID-19 restrictions and a focus on the health and safety of our attendees, staff and partners, the IRF has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Education Invitational," said IRF president Stephanie Harris. "We appreciate the continued engagement of our partners and our community during these uncertain times. The IRF is committed to supporting the industry and will continue to conduct valuable research and provide virtual education programs."
The IRF is currently developing an online experience for 2020 that will offer key elements of the Invitational, including education, keynote speakers and networking. The organization plans to release details in the next few weeks, according to the IRF.
