Le Méridien Arlington has wrapped up a comprehensive renovation, which included revamping all 156 guest rooms and suites, as well as updating the public spaces and meeting venues. The project also added a new ballroom to the Virginia property, expanding its options for group gatherings just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.
A new space for groups
Chief among the changes for meeting planners is the new La Vue Ballroom. At more than 1,800 square feet, the space can accommodate up to 120 attendees for corporate gatherings and social events. Custom floral carpeting and brass chandelier lighting dress up the room, while floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light. Just outside, La Terrasse functions as an expansive outdoor counterpart, giving planners the option to take receptions, breaks and other functions alfresco.
The ballroom joins four other event venues at the hotel, which have all been refreshed. The total amount of meetings space available at the property is 6,600 square feet.
A fresh look upstairs
All of the hotel’s 156 guest rooms and suites have also received a lift. Designed by the Gettys Group, the accommodations draw on Le Méridien’s midcentury-modern style and take inspiration from the property’s locale, overlooking the Potomac River and Georgetown skyline. Deep navy, burgundy and taupe tones run throughout the redesigned rooms, paired with wood and leather furnishings, sculptural lighting and constellation-inspired accents. Artwork throughout nods to Arlington’s civic and cultural history, adding a local touch to the otherwise modern interiors.
Drinks with a view
The completed renovation marks the debut of Noble Fox Bar & Terrace, a fourth-floor American brasserie overlooking the Potomac River. For groups looking to keep the conversation going after the meeting wraps, the restaurant serves cocktails, zero-proof drinks and a variety of shareable dishes from executive chef Francecil Ponte. Attendees can grab a seat at the elegant marble bar or head out to the terrace for drinks and a view.
Just steps from the Metro and minutes from Georgetown, the National Mall and other attractions in Washington, D.C., the hotel offers attendees easy access to destinations on both sides of the river.
