21 Hotel Renovations Happening in 2026

From the Southwestern United States to Southeast Asia, these hotels and resorts will have new offerings for groups this year.

While there are plenty of properties opening this year, there is also a slew of hotels and resorts undergoing a refresh in 2026. From the Southwestern United States to Southeast Asia, these lodgings will have new offerings for groups this year. 

Domestic

Arizona

Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock
To be completed: April
After starting in 2023, a propertywide transformation of the 221-key Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock will culminate this spring with the debut of a 15,324-square-foot event lawn. The new venue more than doubles the property's outdoor function areas to 25,000 square feet, bringing the total indoor and outdoor square footage to 50,000. A complete upgrade of the Eforea Spa and Sedona Athletic Club also will be unveiled.

JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort and Spa
Completed: February
A $25 million renovation of the spa at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort and Spa has been completed. The 32,000-square-foot spa now offers 20 redesigned treatment rooms; a wellness studio with sound baths, yoga classes and meditation sessions; desert-inspired treatments using indigenous ingredients, such as adobe clay, prickly pear and agave nectar; and Ora Café, serving a menu developed with a licensed nutritionist. Outdoor wellness programming includes three options for hydrotherapy: the main pool, a salt-water pool and a cold plunge, while indoors guests will find a Himalayan salt sauna, an aromatherapy steam cavern and more. The 453-room resort has 133,000 square feet of meeting space.

JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa
To be completed: Spring
The JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa is revitalizing its 40,000 square feet of indoor event space and 575 guest rooms. In total, the expansive property offers 115,182 square feet of function venues. Taking advantage of the Sonoran landscape, other amenities include a 27-hole golf course, guided hikes and Native American-led rituals. 

California

Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica
Completed: January
The Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica unveiled its $16 million makeover at the beginning of the year, encompassing all 315 rooms, adding seven new suites with oceanfront balconies. The 15,000 square feet of conference venues also was redone. Team-building activities now can be held in the Sandbox, a game room–style venue complete with darts, shuffleboard, workstations and a bar. A new all-day restaurant, Coastal Harvest Bar and Kitchen, offers locally sourced, California-inspired cuisine.

Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa
Completed: January
A refurbishment of the 560-room Renaissance Esmerelda Resort and Spa has enhanced the property's 213,000 square feet of meeting rooms, installing crystal chandeliers, putting in new carpet, updating the digital signage and adding artwork to the prefunction area. Modern gastropub Seven Olive has debuted along with two Topgolf Swing Suites.

Colorado

Marking its 20th anniversary, the Hyatt Regency Denver has finished a revamp of all 1,100 guest rooms this month. The improvements enlarged the rooms, redesigned the bathrooms, and installed extra storage and power outlets. The hotel offers nearly 61,000 square feet of conference venues.

As part of its evolution to a Signia by Hilton property, the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Fla., has launched five new culinary concepts: Palmea Kitchen, Solara, Playa, The Press and the revamped Diplomat Prime. Palmea Kitchen is a breakfast café serving elevated American classics (orange blossom-crusted French toast, anyone?); beachfront bar and grill Playa offers Latin flavors and frozen drinks; and signature steak house Diplomat Prime features such dishes as braised short rib, Maine lobster fra diavolo and A5 Japanese wagyu steak. On track to become part of the Signia portfolio in May, the resort has 1,000 rooms and more than 200,000 square feet of meeting rooms.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach
To be completed: 2027
Work already has begun on an expansion of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach's outdoor pool deck. Aiming to make the property more family-friendly, the project includes new pools, waterslides and family attractions, as well as updated food-and-beverage offerings and amenities. Guests still will have full access to the existing pool deck during construction. For groups, the sprawling resort has 1,504 rooms and suites, plus 107,000 square feet of indoor event venues.

Omni Amelia Island Resort and Spa
To be completed: Spring
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Spa is adding the finishing touches to its revitalization. All guest rooms are being updated, and the onsite conference center will receive a new 16,825-square-foot ballroom, plus an additional 13,200 square feet of prefunction space. Several phases of the project already have debuted, including the refreshed lobby, the pool deck, the restaurants and the spa. Formerly 402 rooms, the now 401-key property converted one of its suites into Palmetto Press Coffee and Provisions, a casual café serving locally brewed coffee and light bites. 

Georgia

The Lanier Islands Resort is nearing completion of a multistage revamp of its flagship hotel, the Legacy Lodge, updating the 216 rooms with freshly painted walls and new furniture, and installing French doors to the balconies. Additional on-site accommodations are the Legacy Villas and the LakeHouses at Legacy. The property provides more than 38,000 square feet of exhibit venues.  

Illinois

Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook
To be completed: May
Outside of Chicago, the Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook is upgrading all 218 rooms and the hallways. Upon completion, accommodations will contain residential-inspired furnishings to have a less corporate aesthetic, while preserving the original hardwood floors. The hotel remains fully operational while under construction, including the more than 30,000 square feet of conference space.

On the city's famed Canal Street, the DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans has completed a $5 million makeover of the 367 rooms and suites, rooftop pool and sundeck, and nearly 17,000 square feet of function space, including the International Ballroom. The 5,530-square-foot ballroom's floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the Mississippi River, the downtown skyline and the French Quarter. 

Minnesota

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel
To be completed: Spring
After celebrating its fifth anniversary last year, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is undergoing a $7 million refurbishment. Just outside the Twin Cities, the 320-room property is adding an event lawn, an outdoor pool, hot tubs and a sauna. Since opening, the property has hosted 1,270 events throughout nearly 45,000 square feet of exhibit areas.

New Hampshire

Omni Mount Washington
To be completed: Summer 2026
The Omni Mount Washington currently is renovating its main entry and the Great Hall, the 200 rooms in the Historic Wing, the spa and the event venues. Modifications to the food-and-beverage offerings include updating steak house Stickney's Restaurant and the Rosebrook Bar, and introducing Labrador Tea and Coffee, a grab-and-go café. The 269-room resort has nine meeting rooms totaling 30,000 square feet. 

New York

Completed: February
The Martinique New York on Broadway has upgraded its lobby, inspired by the hotel's art deco roots. Incorporating the original mosaic-tile floor, colorful accents can be found throughout the space, from green quartz at the reception desk to a plum banquette in the lounge area. The 504-room hotel offers nearly 12,500 square feet of event rooms.

Utah

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Completed: February
Sushi by Scratch, an omakase experience from Michelin-starred chefs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee, is now open at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. The 17-course tasting menu includes Hamachi with sweet corn pudding, albacore wrapped in sake-soaked nori and roasted bone marrow nigiri. Planners have more than 30,000 square feet of meeting rooms and 381 accommodations at their disposal.

At the base of the Wasatch Mountains, the 123-key Homestead resort in Midway is building The Barn, a 17,636-square-foot venue with a grand ballroom, prefunction space and two event lawns. Once completed, the property will feature nearly 29,000 square feet of conference areas. The Barn is part of a $220 million transformation that will redesign rooms, cottages and residences; revamp the food-and-beverage options; and expand the outdoor amenities. 

Washington, D.C.

Grand Hyatt Washington
To be completed: April
In January, the 902-room Grand Hyatt Washington debuted 39 refreshed meeting rooms and the addition of two boardrooms, bringing the amount of exhibit space to 47,000 square feet. This spring, Cure Bar and Bistro will reopen as Oribu, an upscale restaurant blending Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. 

International

The Bahamas

Atlantis Paradise Island 
To be completed: March
Atlantis Paradise Island's Mandara Spa is undergoing a multimillion-dollar transformation, featuring modern programming, expanded services and new amenities. Treatments will incorporate natural ingredients that are indigenous to the islands, from local spices to fruits and minerals. More than 500,000 square feet of event areas and 3,400 accommodations are available for groups. 

Indonesia

IHG has unveiled the first Regent Spa and Wellness facility at the Regent Bali Canggu. Treatments range from a massage on a warm quartz-sand bed to facials using botanical actives and LED light therapy. Future spa openings are planned within the next five years for properties in Kyoto, Japan; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The resort has 150 rooms and more than 50,000 square feet of exhibit venues. 

Mexico

Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa Cabo San Lucas

The multiphase renovation of the Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa Cabo San Lucas has debuted, revealing expanded pool decks with larger pools, plus new hot tubs and a fire pit. Three restaurants also have been refreshed: Bella California, offering Italian cuisine and views of the Arch of Cabo San Lucas; Carbón Grill, an Argentine-style steak house; and Taco Bar, serving Mexican dishes and cocktails. In 2024, the lobby and three other dining outlets — Tortugas Terrace, Sports Bar and Tomatillos — were updated. The all-inclusive resort features 466 accommodations and more than 3,000 square feet of event rooms.
