Bring your swimsuit! The 26-acre Schlitterbahn Galveston Waterpark has water slides, lazy rivers, wave pools, shaded cabanas, swim-up bars and the world’s tallest water coaster to boot.
Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier.
Rides, midway games, shopping and a variety of food and drink options including funnel cakes, turkey legs, beer and margaritas — all on a historic pier over the Gulf. The Pleasure Pier is good old-fashioned fun.

Play in the Water
Beaches.
You can’t come to Galveston without visiting one of the island’s beautiful beaches. Galveston has 32 miles of sandy shoreline to enjoy, including family-friendly Stewart Beach and the high-energy East Beach, to name a couple.
Boating.
Get out on the water. From dolphin tours and sunset cruises to renting your own craft to relax on, there are plenty of ways for you to boat in Galveston.
Fishing.
The 61st Street Fishing Pier is a family-friendly spot to cast out from, with rod rentals, snacks and more. There are also plenty of fishing charters for those looking to fish further out on the Gulf.
Planner Tip: Long days of meetings can sure work up an appetite. Galveston is well-known for its fresh seafood, and it doesn’t get much fresher than at Katie’s Seafood House, which is supplied by its own seafood market — that means it goes straight from the boat to the kitchen to your dish.
