For North American meeting planners and corporate event organizers seeking an extraordinary international destination, Madrid stands as one of Europe’s most dynamic hubs for MICE travel. At the center of the city’s corporate appeal is Hotel Riu Plaza España, an iconic 27-story landmark located in the historic Edificio España building, right on Plaza de España and steps from the Royal Palace and Gran Vía.

Designed to host large-scale international conventions, corporate summits and executive incentives, the hotel features over 53,000 square feet of versatile MICE space spread across 17 state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
Beyond its indoor facilities, the property boasts stunning outdoor venues, including private event terraces on the 21st floor and the world-famous 360-degree Rooftop Bar on the 27th floor.
Featuring a glass skywalk and breathtaking views over the Madrid skyline, these open-air spaces offer an unforgettable setting for private cocktail receptions, networking dinners and high-impact corporate gatherings.

The hotel offers 582 stylish, modern guest rooms and suites designed for maximum comfort, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity and a 24-hour fitness center.
Event buyers who already trust the RIU Plaza brand across major U.S. cities — such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami Beach — will find the same high standards of service, reliability and excellent value in Madrid.
In addition, guests benefit from RIU’s signature included daily buffet breakfast, helping streamline group morning logistics before a full day of meetings.
