Big Cedar Lodge

The Midwest’s Unexpected Escape for Incentive and Corporate Groups

Some destinations impress. Others stay with you. Set among the forested hills of southwest Missouri, Big Cedar Lodge belongs to the latter.

It’s a 4,600-acre retreat on the shores of Table Rock Lake, where incentive and corporate groups find a rare sense of escape in the heart of the Midwest.

Here, luxury is quiet and unhurried. Handcrafted stone and timber, sweeping lake views and wooded trails create a setting that feels both grand and deeply personal. The meeting and event spaces are as inspiring as they are functional, inviting focus and genuine connection. They range from a lakeview ballroom for up to 1,000 to intimate boardrooms and lakeside lodges.

Behind every program is an experienced events team devoted to seamless execution. Exclusive buyouts, custom branding moments and thoughtfully crafted itineraries ensure each gathering reflects the goals of the organization it celebrates. Every attendee leaves feeling truly rewarded.

CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF, NATURALLY INSPIRED

Golf at Big Cedar is less a round than a journey. Six courses shaped by legends follow the natural contours of the land, rolling through native prairie, along limestone bluffs and above the shimmering lake below. The designers include Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Fazio and the team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.

For top performers, it’s an experience to savor. There’s a celebratory scramble at Payne’s Valley, Woods’ first public-access design, which ends at its dramatic 19th hole. There’s a sunset round on a par-3 course perched high above the water, and spirited putting challenges between sessions. Shorter courses keep guests of every ability in the game and in the moment.

Forbes recognizes Big Cedar among the nation’s top golf resorts. It pairs world-class play with attentive, personal service, from forecaddies and private instruction to tournaments tailored to each group. The camaraderie carries well beyond the final green.

REFINED TASTES OF THE HEARTLAND

Dining at Big Cedar Lodge, image

Dining at Big Cedar centers on elevated regional cuisine and curated wine selections in settings rich with story. The historic Worman House is a meticulously restored 1920s lakeside retreat that offers French bistro dining with panoramic views of Table Rock Lake. Beneath it, a spiral stone staircase leads to Harry’s Cocktail Lounge & Bar, an intimate hideaway known for its signature cocktails and extensive wine and spirits collection.

High atop the bluffs at Top of the Rock, Osage Restaurant is the resort’s most dramatic stage for celebration. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sunsets over the lake. Rugged timber beams, iron chandeliers, rich leathers and native artwork create a sense of rustic grandeur. Hosting up to 310 guests, it’s an unforgettable setting for an awards dinner.

From intimate toasts to grand finales, every menu is crafted around the group, showcasing the finest regional ingredients and gracious, attentive hospitality.

EXPERIENCES BEYOND THE BOARDROOM

Some of the most memorable moments at Big Cedar happen beyond the meeting room. Groups can set out across Table Rock Lake aboard the Lady Liberty, a private luxury yacht, for an evening of fine food, live music and sunset views. It’s a fitting way to celebrate a successful year.

Back on land, the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail at Top of the Rock offers a shared sense of adventure. Guests travel by cart past waterfalls and scenic overlooks before arriving at the Bat Bar, set inside a natural cavern.

When it’s time to recharge, Cedar Creek Spa & Salon provides a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Guests can relax in the grotto pool, refresh in the ice room and enjoy massages, facials and body treatments designed to restore balance after full days of meetings and activities.

Together, these experiences give attendees time to unwind, reconnect and return home inspired.
